Exactly...so from the dealers perspective...why not try it? It obviously doesn't hurt trying to find someone with money to spend. Which makes it that much harder for the average person who just wants a car at MSRP

No, its on reserve, so 90% of these auctions are getting shell bids most likely from having a second account or another person at the stealer - I mean dealer bidding. They know the reserve so they bid under it. Makes it look like everyone else is going to pay, why not me.

The funny thing is that seems to be as realistic as these dealers trying to make a quick buck off the intial hype.

they just wont get anywhere close to what their crazy adm's are listed at

You have just as much chance to sell at your price as they do, even in Canada they wouldnt get close to that with our msrp's

good luck with your sale

I wonder how much the Dealer would have to pay the IRS on taxes for the profit on the sale of a Laguna Seca @ the mark ups these days? Got to pay for Obammacare somehow!

Well you put a buy it now price that's ridiculous so you get the people that say "Oh, a 95k car that I can bid on for 65k?! Sweet!"

And you just need the one sucker like that and you're set

There will be no humor if one pays over MSRP only to find an issue like a piston slap pop up. My '03 Mach 1 had the tick and the "best Mustang ever" feeling went down the toilet real quick. Same with the '07 GT500 with different drivetrain issues nevertheless the disilluion was nothing less that a kick on the gut.
