Not sure what you are referring to, but the grille IS Boss specific. The Boss grille has horizontal bars and fogs, compared with the GT's honeycomb grille. Now, it appears that the 302S get its own unique treatment, in that the blanking plates for the fogs have been cut out and replaced with mesh.

I am willing to bet that it's a modded Boss grille. The production #'s don't support a special part. Heck the Boss grille is 350$ as it is!

I mean that it still even has blank fog light areas, just looks like they should have made a grille with no foglight molds.

They are paying a visual tribute to the 1969 Trans Am Boss Racers that had the high beam headlamps removed from the grille. Back then all 69 Mustangs used the same grille as there was no such thing as grille choices. Headlamps were not necessary on the track and it saved weight for them to be deleted. Some used mesh to fill the holes while others used block off plates or left the hole completely open. In many instances the block off plates were painted a contrasting color.
