BOSS 302 vs GTR Nelson Ledges vid

I apologize if there exists a video area, I looked and couldn't find it. Any how, new member here. Picked up a '12 boss 302 and headed up to Nelson Ledges this weekend....This GTR was chasing me the whole time. Real impressed with how the boss performed. There are about 7 more vids on you tube under the name benbucks ... he was my new friend filming in the GTR.

cut and paste I guess?

Once again, sorry it this is the wrong place to post...

any mods to your 2012 Boss?

Looked good....I love when our Bosses are competitive against 2x and 3x priced cars :-)

That's a nice video...good job fending off Godzilla. That track surface looks a little rough too.

Thanks guys! No mods, strickly stock...first time at the track with this car. I know the track pretty well. I was very impressed with the car ability. He really could only catch me by out braking me at the last turn before the front straight.
I was running 35 psi cold and 41 hot...fronts on 4 and rears on 2....yep that track is rough...not very forgiving.

What tire pressure should I be running hot for best grip?

Rears at 2...I need to try that....

Upgrade brake fluid..... I use Motul 600
Upgrade tranny and rear end fluid..... I went with RedLine @ 20k miles
Remove rear dust shields, for better rear cooling...
I run a Carbotech RP2 front pad and brake ducting....I like brake deep and hard :-)

Thanks for the advise...I brake hard too...these brakes aren't the greatest. What is going to be a better replacement tire once these are gone?

And what would be the optimum hot pressure on the tires? I had a fairly consistent temperature across the tread width...maybe 41 hot is it.

Thanks for the input.

Brake ducts will help with the pads until they run out. I would do HP+ pads or something similar if you decide to drive on the street. I have HPS's currently and they are good but could be better for the track. I would say about 40 psi is good.

Nelson Ledges is a rough track! I still try to make it there a couple of times a year though. Cheap fun.

I am running stock Pirelli P-zero's. I have not run at Nelson with Ford Racing springs as I just put them on in September and have not run Nelson since then. With factory suspension I believe my fastest lap was around 1:18. I had G-tech info but I must have deleted it. I hope to get down there by the begining of June.

An easy way to get to the rear shocks is to fold the back seat down, they are right there.
