Just a letter to all current owners. Letting us know whats happing and were things are at with the Track Key would of been received with welcome arms, and made me and others feel like they cared. I now feel truley honered letting me know with a public anoucement that they will anounce at SEMA when the key is available after NOV. 2. Thats great news for us Northern states. 8 months of owning my Boss and dreaming of the Track Key only to MAYBE receive it in November.

Here is my take at this point....
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.......cross my fingers.......say a prayer.....Let it still have the original tune developed and not some watered down version!

Well there could have been a lot of other work in front of it. It could have taken Ford a while to send in the trackey to get approved. When it finally made it to CARB there could have been a ton of work in front of it.
As far as I know this would be new ground for CARB. I have never heard of a car manufacturer offering two different tunes on one vehicle. Maybe it took a while to figure it all out.....

You've got it backwards. They went from "200" to "600". And the delay was because the cal was submitted as a third-party item not an oem item enabling a new model to be released.

Haha the hype is this, comments qualified by my use of Track Key at MMP:
Launch Control = Hype level of 8 out of 10
Pretty much confirmed. Not even rumors it's not still there
Low risk of "Hype Expectations Miss"
Rumpidy Rump Idle = Hype level of 9 out of 10
Much speculation, no data on config. Probably most useful feature.
Significant risk of "Hype Expectations Miss"
More Aggressive Throttle = Hype level of 9 out of 10
Couldn't tell at much at the altitude in Utah.
Significant risk of "Hype Expectations Miss"
Better Engine Brake = Hype level of 7 out of 10
Should be a rubber stamp. It cuts fuel so Carbie should embrace it.
Low risk of "Hype Expectations Miss"
I just don't see any compelling data to suggest any change from what we've seen on the YouTube vids. Much speculation. Zero information. And nothing gets a 10 out of 10 because it is not going to give you as much more power as an aftermarket one would. That's my only issue and I understand Ford has to warranty the things. After my warranty is up, I'll be likely putting another tune in anyway.
Come Nov 2 the new threads will but up, alive, and getting all kinds of activity. Any of you Boss guys in a "less hospitable climate" that just has to drive with Trackey and makes the effort to come to my house can drive mine. Subject to my review.
