Any Ford SVT exhaust guys reading this forum? If so, can you help about the dump valve sourcing for the Boss?

Thanks

One thing I'd like to ask the engineers; why did they opt to go with Pirelli's vs. the new F1 S/C G2 tires? The GT500 got them this year, and there's been a lot of hype surrounding them as a very capable tire, but why not use them on your "track inspired" model? Obviously, I'm referring to the base 302, not the LS.

The G2s are not on traction 100% of the time specially when shifting the first three gears at high RPMS. Perhaps the Pirellis have a better grip.

Here's groot's answer to your question, in the context of Track Pack development:

The PZero was the only one that did that, including the mightly PS2. I didn't test any of the "R" compound (Corsa or Pilot Sport Cup). In short the PZero was the only real solution that worked. If we had been forced to use something else I would have had to adjust the stabilizer bar sizes to make it work.

That's what made me ask that question, along with seeing some SC G2's at Laguna when they were testing out there in the program. I read his response the other day and thought it was referring to the 2010 TP, not the 2011 BBP.

He is, the 2011 BBP is the Track Pack in all but name. I believe the 2012's case is even more extreme.

The G2's only fit the GT500. They only have two sizes- one for the 19" front and one for the 20" rears.

I also think there is a question of durability. Ford probably wants to offer a tire with a reasonable amount of tread life.
I suppose the Pzero's are a good tire. They are also he tire that comes with my Super Snake package. I think I would prefer a set of Nitto Invo's.
