It would definately complete the Boss. If you know Ford then you know it has a pattern of offering upgrades on each model from year to year. The possibility is there.

First, thank you, thank you to all of you who have posted on the show. For those of us who cannot view US television, it is like Christmas early!
Now, it appears from the pics that the colored roofs are gone from the regular Boss in 2013 (YeeHAW!!). Can anyone confirm?? More importantly to me, was there any way to tell if its the same with the 2013 LS (white w/ yellow roof???)

I want a LS, due to the performance mods, so bad, it hurts my toenails, but CAN'T STAND the over done red. That green 2013 Boss is just different enough, while still being true to its roots, to possibly sway me.

Thanks again, y'all!

Was anyone else surprised that Ford allowed images of what appears to be a nearly official offering for the 2013 Boss? I mean, with as good of a job as they've done keeping the 2012 secret, when I saw the images and the green prototype 2013, I was thinking "Whoa. I'll bet Ford will be pissed that those images were shown". Then I thought to myself, "Hey stupid, do you not think Ford was part of the production (if not entirely in control of it)?!" Lol.

Mid seventies. He does look good for his age.

I really really liked the sound of the Red Key!!!

Meh, no increase in HP, 10lbs. more torque and eliminates skip shift....it sounds like a very mild tune to me.

With the show showing what might possibly come for 2013 I'm thinking many folks are going to be a bit confused. Should they get the 2012 or wait for 2013? The green Boss with hockey stick stripes was very good looking.

I was a little disappointed that they didn't give any performance numbers or times. Maybe this was just to keep GM and Dodge in the dark a little bit longer?

I got the impression from the program there will be no difference from the Boss to the LS on the performance and suspension goodies.

Did anyone get a different take?

On the engine NO, for the suspension I thought he said something about W/O Torsen (LS) it would destroy the stock differential, I'm gonna watch it again & again & again........Till I get my 2012 BOSS (2013 thread anyone?)

Didn't see that part, but perhaps things have changed since they made that video?
I know I recently read that the LS's suspension will start where the regular Boss' ends. Setting 5 on the regular Boss will be equal to setting 1 on the LS.

The engine will be the same on both.

I am wondering whether the two are identical aside from the cosmetics, wheels/tires, and rear seat delete of the LS.

It seemed like there would be no difference, as they didn't go into it the particulars of it during the suspension segment. However, as mentioned above, there was an article that did talk about the LS vs standard car with the settings on the adjustable shocks being specific to each.

Between that and the tires, that would most likely account for the differences between the two.

Yeah, I took the discussion about the rear suspension was for the LS. I understood the Torsen would be needed because the weight of the rear stabilizer bar, along with the grippiness of the R compound tires, would place added stress under race conditions on the limited slip clutch plates. Since a Torsen doesn't have clutch plates, it would make sense to use hardware that would be able to withstand that.

Kevin Groot was the one talking about that.

Hard to tell, since that shot appeared to be in a design studio where they might have been earlier in the process before adding the colored roofs.
