Dude, you need to send me some of that kool-aid your drinking. You and 85% of all of the other Boss owners took their "rare" 1 of 4000 cars and put it in storage to protect it. Only to be driven on sunny days over 50 degrees.

At that rate do you really think that in 20-30 years yours is going to be worth more than it is now? The only reason true classic muscle cars are worth what they are is because no one stored them. Everyone drove the wheels off them and as a result the few that did survive are worth huge money.

Insulting me isn't going to make your car worth any more in the future. Since you're so sure that you are correct and I am an idiot and a moron, I'd suggest you take out a second mortgage, cash in your 401K, and buy 10 more of them, then sell them when you get older. You'll be set for life.

BTW, take a poll of your fellow Boss owners and ask them if they truly believe that their car will be worth more than they paid for it 20 years from now.

I'm quite sure he is not the only one who thinks the Boss will appreciate given enough time. Not saying that they will, but they could.

Actually, I do think in time these will be worth something. (ie. appreciate). Your assertion "not in your lifetime" is ridiculous. I have had several cars, that were built AFTER I was born, that are worth a fortune now and I would have a few dollars if I had just kept them. 1968 GTO Tri Power, 1970 Mach 1, 1969 Mustang Fastback, just to name a few. Since I was born in 1963, all of these would have appreciated in my lifetime.

Now, will the 2012 Boss be the same? Not sure, but I would bet the chances are pretty good. In fact, I HAVE bet they are pretty good, because I bought this one to keep. Not garage it, but limit the mileage somewhat, and see what happens. Now buying a Camaro and expecting an increase, THAT'S a gamble. :-)

Gotta agree with Rather B Blown. I don't think we'll see the value of these appreciate to more than what we paid in our lifetime and anyone who bought it for that purpose..well..not a great idea. Enjoy these cars now. Simple.

Came home after a few hours at Driveway Austin experimenting with tire pressure changes and the kit was waiting. Very well done and made me feel great. I' ve never received a kit like this before. Took a while, but a nice Christmas present from Ford!

EDIT: never mind, I googled it.

Who cares if this car appreciates? It's a blast to drive, I have bimmer owners asking to take pictures and drooling over the motor, telling me "man, that cast is fast"... Money well spent. Try your money in the stock market instead:-)

@phiggs www.drivewayaustin.com is a local track\school here in Austin. Once you complete a training course, you can come for regular 20 minute sessions to practice. Great instructors, owner is a former Ferrari driver. Great people and I spent some time today with Brian Kay, known for his chassis tuning skills working on the Boss. He used to drive in some mustang drifting series.

Well put. The car is fun, I get enough "appreciation" out of driving it. Plus at my age, if it does appreciate, by the time it is worth enough to sell I'll either be dead or my grandkid will be driving it.

And I agree with Lee if we are taking a poll. The cars now are too well built, there will be too many around in 20 years for them to be very collectible. Unless a lot are written off from stupid driving, which I hope does not happen.

Thanks. I go to a track in Hitchcock with the same setup. Our son lives in Manor so we get over there regularly. This will be a good excuse for the wife to see the grandkid while I try a new track. :-)

Deysha,

As Ford of Canada is too cheap to send us the Owners kits, how can I pay for one? Thanks to friends and family I now have the book three times over with more likely under the tree. But how do I get the rest of the kit? And depending on cost, I may be willing to pony (pun intended) up for the kits and shipping for my fellow local Boss owners. Kind of a late Xmas present to those kind souls on the forum. Could you enquire on my behalf? Thank you, and happy holidays.

Steve (Fenderaddict2) Morgan.

Came home for Christmas to find the owner's kit for #193 waiting for me. Not sure how long I've had it because it shipped to my parents house. A nice package to have. #193 was the 79th in Competition Orange.
