Right............Get him to put it in writing as to exactly how much they'll go up in value and over what period of time. Salespeople will say anything to make the sale. Better yet, go back to the dealer in December and ask him why they've already dropped in "value" so soon...............
You can already find a Boss under MSRP now.

But they have only gone up in value since they have been sitting there. Surly people will prefer these over the 2013's. I'm so confused.

Their prices are tumbling. How soon before they are at true MSRP?

the 2013 will have options that the 2012 did not. I can see that really hurting the value. Plus Boss people are more then picky so they will not want a 2012 because in a few months it will be a old car. I also think the value is badly damaged on a show room car that sit out side even 8 hours a day.

I can see how now would be a bad time to buy a 2012 when its is going to be time to let them sleep in the garage over the winter anyway, but as far as the 2013 being better or more desirable I wouldnt be so sure:
Sync: yuck wouldnt want that
Track Apps: cool but gadgetty not really a true muscle car from the old days
HIDS lights: same, cool but very modern look when some may prefer the bare bones old muscle car look of a base car with a big engine.
Looks: will probably be a determining factor when they are revealed ( supposedly the rear will look great and the front maybe not so)
Color: another determining factor: killer green for 2013 but no awesome Orange like 2012.

thats why I dont think its all an easy cookie cutter decision

I was mainly speaking to value. I would prefer a simply boss with maybe a option or two.

They're out there right now. Make sure your dealer knows you're serious and he'll drop from the MSRP (depending on dealer and location). Or just wait a month or two and the deal will come to you. Also, keep checking internet adds. Plenty of Boss's haven't sold at their sticker price, so if someone were to show up and be serious, the dealer will actually "deal". Don't run in, waltz in...................

Agreed. The 2013's may be too dressed up for my tastes which will leave an even better bargain on a 2012 come spring. The 2013 colors are appealing though. Hope you can still order a bare bones 2013 without taking all the new gadgets with it.

Ace, as I am sure you are aware, the "MSRP" price quoted in the above Akins Ford site is not even close to the FORD MSRP on the window sticker. Quite deceptive for a prospective Boss owner who has not done a little homework...

But "true" MSRP Boss prices (and below) are out there if one is serious about acquiring.

Of course, thus the " marks " around MSRP. We all know the 500A Boss is $41,105 and 501A is $48,100, both including $795 delivery. Here's hoping they choke on them.

Lol I went to a dealer here in S. Florida...I think World Ford on pines, and they wanted a 10k market for a 11 Gt500......The sales guy said it was a rare colour, the same as a GT350.

I lol'ed loudly even, and told him, Um...the original 350 was a white body, BLUE stripes. Not Blue body and white stripes. Lol rare colour indeed. I laugh all the way out of the door.
