Well, if you lived in the great state of South Dakota, its 3% sales tax and no state income tax!

Pah. 13% on a car 10,000 dollars more than you pay before any ADM, and with our dollar above par. Basically paid for a Fiesta. Irony is, I am buying a Fiesta or Focus before the Boss goes in storage. So based on that I paid a heck of a lot.

That's 3% of the difference between your trade in and the new car price. If you have no trade in, it is 6%, which still isn't bad. And, no Income tax, but property taxes that would choke a horse. It really doesn't matter where you live, the "government" will get your money one way or the other. I love the guy advising the President to institute a 2% Value Added Tax (VAT) on everything sold in the country. Watch sales tank then!

As for the 9 Boss Mustangs sitting on the lot with those ADM's...lots of luck. I would call them at the end of December, just before the new year and see what kind of a deal they will make. Other wise let them rust.

John,
I did not trade, and paid 3%. Don't know if different counties tack on more.

FL, no income tax 6% sales tax and low property tax but all that is irrelevant as I get ready for the winter track season

Massachusetts, income tax, 6.25% sales tax, high property tax, and cars get put away for 5 - 6 months of the year.

Regular Boss w/6k ADM - Prices coming down?

Try escaping 1 state north, lowest tax burden of all 50 states, no income or sales tax, no excise tax, reasonable property taxes...

You would have to drag me back to Mass kicking and screaming after escaping Taxachussetts 14+ years ago. I just love the toll takers who pull in 100k... great work if you can get it.

The poster who said that this dealer acquired stock from other dealers was right, the Race Red w/Blk was from TX and the YB from KS.

The funniest part is that if you go to their site, they even show the WRONG(misleading) MSRP for all these cars!

Could that be false advertising?

Scott, when I retire (the second time) I'll have to put FL on my winter snowbird list! Winter track season up here means snowmobile tracks, tire chains, etc.

Invoice on an LS is $44,742 so about $3,700 plus hold back.

It is not too bad, about 12 or 13 hundred a year. The rebuild cost of my house is double the market value right now, that is more of the downside. Anything is better then NJ, property taxes on my house there would be more then taxes, ins., mortgage and my car ins. here combined.

+1

back in 05 I met a few dealers that now I wouldnt let give me a car...
the one I bought the 09 from had a shelby sitting there with a 10k adm, I was sure to tell the sales guys that after seeing that, i would never buy another car from them. if more folks would smack them this stuff would end. should be first-come/first-serve till allocations are gone- instead they refuse to take retails, and place 'stock' orders as allocations open up, so they can gouge. just wish Ford would either disallow it, or at least require splitting markups- Ford earned it if the car is worth more than msrp, but instead greedy dealers make more profit per unit than ford? lifes not fair i guess...

They told me that the cars would be going up in value.

They assured me that a 1971 Boss 302 did the same thing (yea, a '71 Boss 302 is very rare).

They very likely could go up in value.
Its the price that will be falling. (relative to inflation)
