I will be back there tonight, I'll snap a few pics of the mustangs inside.

Did you ask him if the quality of the crack he was smoking has gotten any better over the years?

I gotta be nice for now since I am looking into turning in my leased Fusion and getting a Focus. If things dont work out I will know why.
I also have a buddy up in NY looking for a black LS, he is going to call them this week to see if they will budge on the ADM's.

Tried this two months ago at a local dealer with an LS. Brought a check for $50,xxx (sticker + sales tax), five $100 bills - a little incentive money, my drivers license, and the business card of the bank manager for them to call and verify my check.

He wouldn't even touch it, said he had his orders not to take less than 10K over. I thought I was calling his bluff when I started to pick everything up off his desk, and he just sat there and said thanks for coming in. He let me walk.

Let them all sit and collect dust. 2013 will be here soon and we will see them get older just like some of the dealerships with the GT500. Only I think less people will spend the extra money right now a car. Back in 2007 the economy looked like it was in a better position and people were blowing tons of money on GT500's. I dont think it's the same today

Yep, Sandy Springs Ford in Atlanta has been doing the same thing and then listem them on eBay. Not sure how many they have actually sold at the ADMs they have been asking for. Intersting sales strategy...

Rather than offer a good deal and make a sale some dealers prefer to make less money to keep the prices high and let some other deales make the profit. The same happened when the GT500 came out.

I guess shooting themselves on the foot feels better than making a sale at a lower price.

Don't worry the body of the car is the $20k one off the base mustang.

Salesman tried to tell me that the GT500 is sent to Shelby so he can sign it at a low cost of $12k, which then in turn makes the car worth $20k more....oh the fun I had listening to this BS

Sales guys crack me up. I have yet to be able to have an intelligent conversation with one about the new 5.0 or Boss, was even worse when I was shopping for a Z06.

What a sad state of affairs. As someone has already said, they will sit.

It won't be long before the '13 model debuts, then they will really be screwed.

Thanks for posting the photos - that is quite a sight!

Just be glad you dont live in Washington state. I paid MSRP for my Boss, but then had to shell out 8.5% in sales tax to Uncle Sam.
