AppRadio
AppRadio
Has anyone been able to see this in-person? Just saw 5.0 article on FB about it and it seems like it may be a pretty cool option, especially with DashCommander and OBD-II interface.

It looks like it's just replicating what you would have on your iPhone screen for the apps that have been set up to work with it. It's great that you get the a bigger screen and that you have touch controls on the head unit, rather than the small iPhone screen.
I'm definitely keeping my eye on this. Since this is pretty new, I'd like to see how Pioneer continues to develop this and what others will do.
I'm also waiting on a better kit for changing the stock head units. I'm not very impressed with both the Metra and Scoche kits. I also haven't found something that can make use of the steering wheel controls with aftermarket headunits...

Really don't need much beside my iPod or iPhone so being able to have a large touch screen would be nice. A little curious to see how well the phone works. Might have to check out the local electronics store and see if they happen to have it. I probably prefer the Meta kit, not much need for touch screen A/C controls, but I would rather have the stereo above the controls instead of below. Though that there was an adapter to use the steering wheel controls out there.
After reading some more reviews online I opted for the AVIC-X930BT with the Metra Dash kit and steering wheel control interface. I'll be sure to post pictures/review once it comes in and I get a chance to install it.
Will do, may be a couple of weeks, heading TDY next week, but will be back occasionally on weekends. Garage isn't that big, but should be able to do what I need with the doors closed.
this with the new SCT peice that can retune your car from an IPOD or I phone app combined would be perfect for me, im def going to be changing it out, i dont use the sterring wheel controls anyways......

Got all the parts in, just waiting to get some time to install everything. Battery is already out of the car for the winter so I'm not in too much of a hurry. Thinking of getting some speakers to replace the stocks as well.
Someone posted up and used the iSimple. He put the antenna UNDER the plastic piece under the windshield wipers. Totally hidden.
Semi Hidden Antenna
Here's a pic of mine -- it's mounted via double-sided tape and tucked away and easy to remove and/or replace (if needed). Way better than the black pimple on the truck of stock Mustangs. FYI, the iSimple system gives you just about everything you need for audio support. Of course, this system does not provide for iPhone connectivity.
As for the speakers, suggest you only upgrade the front set. The rears are geared to provide bass. Better fronts will provide for better response and crisp/clear audio -- when compared with the rather muddy response of the stock speakers.
