air raid ON CAI question

Based on my searching, the theory on cai' s is that the no tune required variety will not provide any measurable power increase, and that the tune required cai' s are better.

Thus the air raid PJ cai, which looks fantastic, would be primarily eye candy?

Do I have this straight?

Airaid I believe has an insert for running it without a tune but can be removed when tuning happens. I believe Shaun at AED recommends the Airaid over other CAI's so I wouldn't think it is just eye candy.

Eye candy = hot looking lady
PJ CAI = Bling.
A tune will make all the differance in the way the car runs.
The PJ CAI gives both options to run a tune or not. It comes with an insert for NO TUNE.
Steeda makes a nice looking CAI but requires a tune. Remember that these cars come with a factory CAI so its not like your changing anything with the PJ. Just the Bling.

Thanks for the replies. I am leaning toward the pj and removing the mvt insert with an AED tune.

Correction ... Steeda also has a CAI unit that is "No Tune Required" & if you want to run a tune ... you can remove the insert!

Definitely a great choice & happy to provide a forum discount if you are considering the Steeda unit!!

Best Regards,

I had the Steeda unit (with tune) on my '13 GT for 2 years prior to going to a ProCharger. I recommend it.
