After two years the Boss is indeed, dead?

I was told by a FR Engineering Manager pretty early on that history would repeat itself with the Boss 302. But, he also discussed in a little detail the nuances of product development, and one example was splitting the development cost of the lower facia with the Cal Special. Same idea might apply to the Road Runner engine that has already had the engineering costs amortized over the cars built. Clearly there is the possibility of grabbing the "free" RR engine for another purpose. Makes no sense not to IMO.
Everyone is saying ECO 4 in a Stang, what if the SVO is an ECO 8?
Is this how rumors get started?

Someone, please post a direct quote from a Ford rep who actually said there would only be a two model year production run of the Boss 302. The GT 500 is a limited producton model and look how many are produced each year to maintain its exclusivity. Ford has an opportunity to take the 2014 Boss 302 to a new fresh level by just adding different grahics. As a Ford shareholder, I would like to see financial gains made from the production of a 2014 Boss 302.

It would be easy for Ford to let the stylist use their imagination to create racing stripes for a 2014 Boss 302. It would be an easy way for Ford to make money on a model that is already to go. It just does not make sense to discontinue the Boss 302. That would hardly cost Ford anything and the Boss would look new and refreshing. When the Boss 302 nameplate was revived for the 2012 Boos 302, the Ford reps talked about going after the M3 and building a car that was fast and handled exceptionally well. To hear the Ford reps talk, one would think the Boss 302 was going to be around as long as there was an M3. What happened to change their minds ?

2) How many shares does it take to develop a sense of entitlement like you've got? I own shares, too, but apparently not enough to feel like I should be calling the shots at the Ford shop.

3) Google search Dave Pericak and find the interviews/quotes yourself. It's obvious nothing anyone posts here is getting through to you.

It was nice of Ford to pay homage to the 1969 and 1970 Boss 302 with the recent production of the Boss 302. It gave older buyers an opportunity to purchase a Boss 302 that they may not have been able to buy in 1969 or 1970. However, Ford is missing an opportunity to attract a new generation of buyers by not offering a version of Boss 302 that does not have the stripe pakages of 1969 or 1970. What a waste of resources to just make a model for two years. It would have been so easy to have carried the Boss 302 over for one more year. The 2012 and 2013 models could be for the collectors . The third year model could be for the general populance. As far as I know, the CAFE standards are the same for 2013 as 2012. It just coud have been so easy to have the Boss produced for one more year. I always wanted a new version of Boss 302 that did not look exactly like the 1969 or 1970 Boss 302.

The statements made by Dave Pericak about production of the Boss 302 are so very vague. One could use his statement to mean whatever one would want it to mean. I take his statement to mean production of the revived Boss 302 would be true to the production of the original Boss in that production of the current Boss is to resemble the original as close as possible.
