If you recall from the Speed TV special PJ was the one who said the 70 Bud Moore built Boss 302 Trans AM race cars were painted school bus yellow and that Grabber Orange just sounded better. They used that color on the race cars because it was easier to see them and keep track of where they were on the race track. It was probably also cheap and easy to get. They did a fair amount of beating and banging back then so body repairs between races was pretty routine. I'm guessing that's where the name came from. I'm also guessing that they will call it Grabber Orange for 2013 and someone is just messin' with us.
IMO the name is 50/50. SBY is straight from the order guide, but it's subject to change.
Also it's a different paint code from the 07 GO (U3).

The very early pre-production 2010 Sunset Gold cars were originally named Yellow Jacket. Was even printed on the window sticker. So yes, names can and will change right up to actual mass production. I would guess SBY is merely a placeholder until a proper name is chosen.

How come on the original 69-70 cars the roof was body color, but on the new cars the roof is black/white?
I think the car looks so much better with the chops above and a body colored roof, any idea if the 2013 will give us that option?

So is the hood going to change?
It says "unique" hood. So I'm wondering if it will have a different shape so that the hood stripe (running front to back) will blend in better with the hood.
The current hood (I don't think) would look very good with that long front to back stripe.

^^ that equals MyFord Touch. Ford is trying to get that into all its cars. As for school bus yellow, grabber orange isn't yellow looking at all though isnt YB nothing but grabber orange with some pearl? i wish so badly they would use screaming yellow on a boss, that would look soooo good. As for the unique hood bit, im betting that we will find the 13 cars get tweaks across the board to body panels. I may be in the minority here, but i was never really a fan of the 70's boss stripes.
