2013 Colors
First off there just are not many Mustangs on dealer lots, tough to buy what isn't there. Walk down to a Chevy dealer and he's got lot's of Camaro's to choose from.
Lot's of Chevy lovers who have been starved for a Camaro and now that the car is back they are buying. No real sales loss to Ford as these folks wouldn't be caught dead driving a Ford/Mustang.
The "Transformer" look appeals to a younger buyer.
Still the new kid on the block while the Mustang is getting a bit old.
Considering all of those factors it's pretty amazing that Mustang sales are as close as they are to the Camaro's.

No thanks. I like how Ford honors the heritage of the 69/70 cars but our new ones are completely different beasts and will create their own heritage. They do not need to be replicas of the originals.
True Orange= Bright Tangerine
I have never seen a photo of a Tangerine car that looked red. However, I have seen tons of photos of Compitition Orange that looks red. Same with the yellow effect of Grabber Orange. While I do like the other colors, Bright Tangerine is one of if not the best orange Ford has done. IMO.

I do agree with you that they don't need to be replicas. But have you ever seen the reflective stripes on a 70 boss at night when the light is just right? It's a pretty neat sight. Of course just as chrome is something I don't prefer on a new vehicle, maybe that is also something better left in the past.

I spent the last two weeks looking for a Kona Blue GT w/Brembo and manual trans. Willing to take any or all additional options. There is nothing in a 400 mile radius. I entered the zips of surrounding cities. I also had a buying service search. Ended up ordering one that may get here by the end of October. I will probably end up delaying the purchase until I see the 2013 at the LA auto show.
If one had been on the lot, I would be driving it now. There are lots of Camaros on the lots.
