For the life of me I can't figure this out.... the Camaro is ugly on the inside and outside. It has loads of quality issues, has bigger engine but is still getting stomped in performance stock vs stock and gets worse mileage.......

I think it's pretty easy to see why Camaro sales are ahead.
First off there just are not many Mustangs on dealer lots, tough to buy what isn't there. Walk down to a Chevy dealer and he's got lot's of Camaro's to choose from.

Lot's of Chevy lovers who have been starved for a Camaro and now that the car is back they are buying. No real sales loss to Ford as these folks wouldn't be caught dead driving a Ford/Mustang.

The "Transformer" look appeals to a younger buyer.

Still the new kid on the block while the Mustang is getting a bit old.

Considering all of those factors it's pretty amazing that Mustang sales are as close as they are to the Camaro's.

I personally would like to see the stripes on the 13' boss reflective. Like they were on the 69 and 70's.

No thanks. I like how Ford honors the heritage of the 69/70 cars but our new ones are completely different beasts and will create their own heritage. They do not need to be replicas of the originals.

True Orange= Bright Tangerine

I have never seen a photo of a Tangerine car that looked red. However, I have seen tons of photos of Compitition Orange that looks red. Same with the yellow effect of Grabber Orange. While I do like the other colors, Bright Tangerine is one of if not the best orange Ford has done. IMO.

I do agree with you that they don't need to be replicas. But have you ever seen the reflective stripes on a 70 boss at night when the light is just right? It's a pretty neat sight. Of course just as chrome is something I don't prefer on a new vehicle, maybe that is also something better left in the past.

Exactly what I was thinking, the reflective stripe DEFIANTLY should have been used..
But people gotta be out pf there mind to park these and think there gonna be worth money, I already know of 2 in my area that people bought and went straight into storage..

Hello everyone, new here. Proud owner of a 2011 Kona GT.

Regarding the 2013 Boss: I can see no Trackey in that spec? Should it be there?

Reflective stripe would be illegal in some places like Ontario as it is reserved for Police or safety vehicles.

x2

I spent the last two weeks looking for a Kona Blue GT w/Brembo and manual trans. Willing to take any or all additional options. There is nothing in a 400 mile radius. I entered the zips of surrounding cities. I also had a buying service search. Ended up ordering one that may get here by the end of October. I will probably end up delaying the purchase until I see the 2013 at the LA auto show.

If one had been on the lot, I would be driving it now. There are lots of Camaros on the lots.
