Well maybe that isn't any better. I've thought that I'd rather have the tach and speedo reversed on our cars so reversing them is probably a plus.

I like that green a lot and I'm a big fan of grabber blue.

Green is a little off from my new chop tonight...

 

While that mule (supposedly) belongs to a member of Dave Pericak's team, it is most likely a Shelby. It was reported to have several different front ends on it.

 

Ha, tell me about it. I told my dealer over a month ago to put me on the list for a 13 and I have heard NOTHING since, no VIN, no VV, no build date, no quarter, no NOTHIN' Ford needs to fix the system, I just want an update, nothing more

We've seen this car with another front end on it before. This was an early Boss mule I had spotted some time last year. Remember this guy?





Just out of curiosity, how did you come to the conclusion that it was going to have an LS-style splitter?

 

Do these features also appear on the base model Mustangs? I was never thrilled that non-LS Boss models had no oil pressure gauge. But now Sync & HIDs along with the 70's style stripes!? Winnah winnah chicken dinnah!

 

I was hoping for the real "grabber green". Oh well.... Have to wait and see what "gotta have it green" looks like in person next year.

 

Has anyone checked those paint codes for yellow and green to see if they reference to any other vehicles? I wonder if that green is the same used on the Focus RS.

 

I find it hard to believe that Ford would make the front end of a Boss look very similar to a Shelby GT500. A louvered hood would be nice though.

 

Well I suppose if any of this is even remotely true I won't be as disappointed that my Q3'12 Yellow Blaze order was cancelled.

 

If you recall from the Speed TV special PJ was the one who said the 70 Bud Moore built Boss 302 Trans AM race cars were painted school bus yellow and that Grabber Orange just sounded better. They used that color on the race cars because it was easier to see them and keep track of where they were on the race track. It was probably also cheap and easy to get. They did a fair amount of beating and banging back then so body repairs between races was pretty routine. I'm guessing that's where the name came from. I'm also guessing that they will call it Grabber Orange for 2013 and someone is just messin' with us.

 

Personally I think they should call the green color "Grabber Melon"

 

My biggest hope is that the Boss gets the Tremec instead of the Getrag.
