After viewing the Boss 302 video I noticed that the 2013 Boss LS looks like it will be offered in either black with/gold or yellow stripe or white with/gold or yellow stripe. I could not see the roof.....Is it the same color as the rest of the body of the car and not like the red roof of the 2012 model??????

 

Remember, that video was filmed a little while ago and those pictures of the colors were only 'story boards'. Those are meant to merely show possible color combos and design theories. It is also used to gauge interest in those areas by management and focus groups. They are in no way to be taken as gospel. You might not see even one of those colors on the '13 model. For all anyone knows, those 'boards' might have been from last year, before the final stripe design and color choices were made.

That would be sweet - the thoughts that just went through my head when I read that are too numerous to mention but I like your thought porcess there. I would jump all over the chance to own a true big block mustang - what would that be a 7.0L or sometihng crazy like that.

What a great time to be a fan of the mustang, I am so excited and thankful I got my reserve in on a 2012 Boss but it makes you always wonder when you think of the possibilities for the future that you just might want to hold out for something better down the road, darn evolution and advancement, lol

 

So...will the contrasting roofs be there in 2013????

 

Hopefully Ford will decide to make the '12 exclusive and unique, and get it out of their system.

 

I hope so. I really like the 69 Trans-Am team car with the red/black/and white. I even like the modern 302R version with the 69 retro style as seen in the video. I HATE the 2012 LS paint style. If they sold the LS in the retro motif, I'd be ALL over it. I even considered getting a black/red LS and painting it like that as a way of tolerating the car. As they are now...I think I'm going to hold out and hope that the contrasting roofs will be gone in 2013. This is harder than I can explain because the Boss is the car I've been waiting for from Ford but never expected.

 

fwiw - when you're driving, you won't see the roof.

 

Or the red wheels, or the red mirror tops, or the red grille...maybe the red wing in the rearview. However, surrounded by that much red would affect my psyche.

 

The white LS w/yellow stripes looked a heck of a lot better than the choices we've got this year; but there is no guarantee that the story board is still accurate. And staring in the face of an MSRP offer this year, I had no guarantee of finding the same next year.

Of course, next year could see below MSRP deals too, so I guess I'm just not very good at poker
