I don't care what you do with your car. My worry is that Ford sees a bunch of complaints of lacking Sync and makes it standard. I would not like that as I don't think it fits with what the car is. Plus I don't want any of my money going to microsoft.

 

Would you prefer Apple??

 

Hahah, well although I don't own any apple products I do have great respect for the UI designs, so I might be ok with apple designed in-car electronics. In general I think cars today have too many gadgets. The hypothetical apple system would have to be intuitive and non-intrusive, something which Apple is usually pretty good at.

 

My Ford dealer told me the 2013 Boss will have Sync.

I would love to have it in my 2012. I almost went the Shelby route because they have it...

 

Newsflash: it is standard in 2013. Some of us would like it in our 2012s.

I just wanted to clarify, we haven't finalized any info for the 2013 Boss yet. Stay tuned for future details, coming from the L.A. Auto show.

What does this mean for us 2012 owners? Will Ford look at this, and then decide to make a SYNC retrofit kit? How many "thumbs up" feedback will it take to have a decision made on it?

Lots of 2012 Boss owners will buy a kit guaranteed, if its made.

 

I can't speculate at this time what the plan will be, but I highly recommend sharing your feedback on The Ford Story site. We are listening!

In the meantime, if I hear anything I'll post to let everyone know.

Actually I did but for some reason it did not count.

I voted but the counter doesn't increase; didn't receive any errors etc.

 

Same here. I signed up, posted a small quote and gave a thumbs up. No increase in the counter occurred.

 

Same for me. I have voted 3 times with no comment showing. I do receive the Ford emails now though.
