It does not matter whether you concede or not. That's the way it is. Since the information is not top secret I certainly doubt you would be charged with treason.
While they're at it, maybe Ford will throw in a huge stereo with video monitors in the headrests. Swap out the Recaros for heated seats with massage. Offer an automatic transmission. I mean, if Ford really wants to adhere to the spirit of the BOSS 302, that's what they'll do.
It's probably one less feature that is considered more 'luxury' than 'race' in terms of character. I am curious to see what the elimination of it would mean in the cost to build.
If Sync can only be had with the Shaker 500, then there is indeed a notable weight gain. Not sure of the total increase, but I believe it to be on the order of 20 lbs or so for the amps, the door subs and reverb chambers.
I want to see if the performance of the car matches or exceeds the price tag.
When its all said & done, this car is going to be a few thousand dollars shy of a GT500. Minus all the goodies!
So is it worth it?

I would say yes. Worth it. Seeing as how it is most likely aimed at a different target audience than the GT500. If I didn't already have one, and had to pick between the two, I would most certainly pick the Boss 302. It is more akin to what kind of driving I want to be doing. Hey, at least it's not $51,995! But I wouldn't have minded seeing a $39,995 tag either.

Hi, George, I've been on a number of Mustang forums over the last 11 years and have seen dealer and Ford employees in trouble over releasing certain bits of info - some even terminated from their jobs over leaking sensitive info. I only post what I feel is appropriate and not in violation of Ford's policy on proprietary info. It's not like I have access to anything terribly top secret anyway, but there are some things that I'm just not comfortable divulging.
I think it depends on what performance parameters you value the most. If it is pure straightline acceleration, that is different than a steering, suspension and engine set-up that is tuned for running on a road course.

Of course, MSRP may not be the best barometer, considering that GT500's are easy to find for thousands less than MSRP nowadays. But, the Boss 302 is still going to be a lot of car for the money, IMO, and many customers may find the Boss 302 to be the better performer depending on which track we're talking about.
