13 Boss Price Increase

Looked it up: Passenger Volume Mustang: 83 ft3 (2 door) WRX:94 ft3 (4 door) Luggage Volume Mustang: 13 ft3 (2 door) WRX: 19 ft3 (4 door)

And to get back on topic, I think the price increase is reasonable for the upgrades that come with 2013. I would have paid the extra amount if those were options for the 2012.
Id 10 T No.

But a 2k Price increase as reported today on this link?! A new 2013 seems a little less likely to appear in my garage...

I think the price increase is reasonable and I am very happy I canceled the 2012 (4th Q) and ordered the 2013 (2nd Q). I am not getting a Laguna Seca, so it doesn't matter to me, but am I the only one that thinks that 2013 LS buyers are kinda getting screwed because of the lack of a gauge pod? It makes the regular Boss seem like a better deal since they both went up bu $1,900.00....I don't know that I would go for the 2013 LS even if I could get one for the same deal I have on the regular Boss. On a bang for the buck basis, the LS is getting too close to the 2012 GT500, 2012 ZL1, and the 2013 GT500. I think the regular boss is still a pretty good deal.
I still believe you are misrepresenting costs that are sunk as variable which to me is in-congruent with accounting practice. The costs you are listing are not inherently more than the previous model year, therefore not necessarily the driver of increased cost. Again, the enhancements (Sync vs No Sync, HID vs Halogen, etc) and inflation are the primary drivers of the cost increase, not a redesigned hood etc.
Regardless, I'm sure no one else on here cares to read us go back and forth and I certainly don't appreciate your attitude of calling me a moron and am going to stop responding as its clear a civil discussion is beyond you. Goodnight.

I'm right there with you, the LS is less special in '13 trim (still sweet though). I originally only wanted to go LS, but I ave now downshifted to getting a "plain" Boss for better bang for buck and availability issues.
You guys are priceless . As I was reading I was laughing so hard I started crying. I really didn't think the car would stay the same price. It seems to me the extra items on the 2013 is what mostly drove the price up. Both you guys make good points though. Fords actual cost on the upgrades does not correlate to that much of an increase. It is still a hot item and they feel they can get away with it. It's all Marketing and supply and demand. We shall see how it works out
