Another weekend, another...
*censored* use of the car (love you, ford)
Tried a local club out, and had a good time at a Firebird International Raceway's West Track (the local punisher, short tight track with a rough surface with gravel everywhere )
Cold day which made fun for getting the tires up to temp (ran the conti challenge slicks, and finally starting to barely show cords on one, not enuff camberz). I had to run their orientation class, which meant an instructor and no passing but on a straight, The instructor got a kick out of when he walked up to my car, looked at the setup and my prep. Though it was kinda nice to hear some feedback and work out some bad habits I've developed (no, not the shuffling, PSC)
Some pics:
I forgot to charge my gopros, so the only run I have is where I run out of fuel halfway. Do chase the world's most nervous ferarri driver, however.
Then took a ride in a roush trackpack racecar (3600 weight with fuel and driver, very nice balance):
Also had my real first spin, which is a shame I didn't catch it on video, right around where the first picture was taken, I had too much input on wheel and throttle and the tail comes loose while its pretty loaded up. I countered a bit too slowly with too much input, and had a hangtime on a back to back to back tankslapper for ten seconds. Couldn't believe for that much time that I couldn't catch it. Felt like forever
