What should the 2014 50th Anniversary Package contain?
The 35th Edition was cool too! Black and silver interior. Special sideskirts (which are VERY hard to find btw. I need a right side one if anyone has one!), hood scoop, side scoops and different spoiler.
Yes that stuff became mostly standard in '01, but it was special in the moment? Lol.

Well, lets hope for something special because they have not done anything "Really Special" in the past..
25th aniv. Dash emblem, 30th aniv. nutton, 35th aniv. Nutton 40 aniv. special emblem and color/wheels. and back at the 20th the paint Gt350 verts and hatchbacks but still nothing much at all.....

Please do not read this as a smart alek statement, but I would like to see a 50th anniversary package ala the original. An affordable no frills sports coupe.
It may be more expensive to put crank windows in, etc. But I would love to see a V8 with cloth, no fancy stereo, no fancy anything.
The problem is much of the "fanciness" is Gov't mandated. TPS, or ESC which needs ABS, Traction Control, etc.
Honestly though crank windows and manual locks, seats, and mirrors never bothered me, and the power versions are nice, but they don't really do much for me. especially since I lost my Key Fob.

No worries Jarrad. Some people have wished this for a base GT. But sorry to say, you'll NEVER see a Mustang with crank windows and nothing in it again. For something like this, Ford would have to buy all new parts for a small amount of cars, and the price doesn't add up in the long run.
No doubt... The 50th (2014) will be my next Mustang! I would love to see at least 500 HP, with some subtle styling cues from the original. I like the idea of limiting the colors, and maybe they should be gold and black only. And yes, special (subtle) badging/numbering would be cool too. I know one thing for sure; it's gonna be hard to wait!
I think a limited edition 50th package is a good idea however i really hope they will keep any special badging to just the 50th package. i really dont want that badging on my future car. i plan to get a 2014 but would prolly wait a year if they all had the badging, GT or 5.0 or the cobra emblem (SVT) is what i think looks best.
I think its more than likely the next design will have IRS at least on the shelby/SVT model.
hopefully they will add full power seats (seatback angle) with a memory feature, only thing missing in my 2010 maybe a telescoping wheel too but i fit in the 2010 with the wheel as is

Given that the traditional 50th anniversary gift is gold, I would suggest a gold (colored) theme, style wise:
- Gold metallic paint (special blend with real gold leaf flecks?)
- Platinum wheels
- Dark gold seats (basically a yellow brown) with gold (yellow) stitching
- Some gold plated interior trim bits, including numbered plaque.
- Special gold plated key fobs
Wow, I like all these ideas. The one that is most important is the limited serial plate. I love statistics and would love to know what number I am out of exactly how many. Boomer's 5.0 Anniversary badge is freakin' sweet!
Perhaps not exactly what you are asking, but my 1999 Cobra came with a leather jacket and a nice book on the history of the Mustang. I don't know if the jacket would be worthwhile, but the book was awesome. Would be cool if Ford threw in an updated book for the 50th anniversary.
Ok, I'll start off by saying I know it will never happen but....I'd like to see the original body styles as the Anniversary models. The current (or new design by that point) will be the regular model, and the 50th's will be the originals. I'm talking Coupe Convertible and Fastback. Modern powertrain...original styling. Again...I know it will never happen, but I guy can dream right?
