Im sure if Ford engineers set their minds to it they could make look right. I also like the idea of a removable roof panel, t-top, or hell at least a sunroof for the coupe owners

I would've been all over a retractable hardtop on my S197 if it had been an option. I was hoping to see that on the S550 in the event I end up with an S550 down the road.

Personally, I couldn't care less about trunk space or practicality or weight on a Mustang 'vert. I would never be carrying a bunch of junk with the top down, and I would never be worrying about practicality...if I were, this would be a bad car to look at period. Even as a daily driver, it's almost never that I carry stuff, except groceries and not very many at that. Any 'vert will be heavy either way, hardtop or soft top and I figure anyone that concerned with weight probably isn't interested in a convertible anyway and can probably stand to lose a little weight of their own. At 135 lbs, I can take the extra weight penalty of a retractable hardtop, lol.

Retractable hardtops to me are the ultimate daily drivers. Useable year round, never need to replace the top or really do any maintenance beyond basic lubes of the joints, and get the best of both worlds.

I hope to see a retractable hardtop Stang in the future.
