An Unlikely Comparison

Oh Yeah... I'm Delusional
I Never Said it was a Ferrari, or that the Designers at Ford were trying to Copy Ferrari... just that the Design Elements I highlighted Remind Me of the Ferrari 365 GTB Daytona, which just happens to be Highly Regarded as one of the Most Beautiful Cars Ever Made.
As for "the Euro Styling" being Sacrilege... May I Remind You that the Grill of the Original Mustang WAS Inspired by Ferraris of the Era. The Original Mustang came to be after Edsel Ford II came back from a European Vacation and Ordered the Design Departments to Create a Small Sporty Car with European Flair that would Appeal to Younger People, and Military Troups returning to the States from Europe. Edsel Ford II had a Strong Personal Rivalry with Enzo Ferrari which eventually led to the GT-40, but Things like the Long Hood Short Deck, Fastback Roofline, Grill and C-Scoop (which originally was designed to simulate brake cooling ducts) were All Inspired by European Sports Car Design of the 60's.
Just one other point of interest: Edsel Ford II having been born in 1948 would have been about 14 years old at the time the original Mustang was on the drawing board. I'm sure he had a huge influence at that age.

Uh, I believe that was Henry Ford II who wanted to whip Ferrari's butt in racing (LeMans) but that was only after Enzo backed out of a deal with Henry II to sell Ferrari to Ford. I have also never heard your story about how the Mustang came to be but I have heard that Lee Iacocca had a little bit to do with it. BTW, what troops are you referring to? WWII ended in 1945, twenty years before the Mustang.

I mistakenly got the part about the Troups mixed up with the Original Thunderbird's Origin Story. Which as a Side Note, Originally the Mustang Program was working on a model based on the 2 Seat Thunderbird with small Jump Seats behind the front seats. There was even talk of calling the car Thunderbird II...

Everyone wants to feel like they found the secret. You guys are trying way too hard. People see what they want to see. When you talk to friends they are most apt to agree with you because they like you. Here, nobody has that obligation and we are all fine with telling you your wrong. Ha

I'm not the only one who sees it. I've had several people say they see what I'm talking about. I'm not comparing the 2015 Mustang directly to a Ferrari Daytona . I'm simply pointing out a few details that are Undeniable. The pictures above dont lie. All you have to do is look at the pic's I posted and you can see the points I'm making are valid.
For starters, the quarter windows on the Ferrari have a larger, wider shape and the roof line is also taller.. The deck lid is also completely different as it slopes completely at a 90 degree angle where as the Mustang's slope tapers flat at the very edge of it's deck lid/built in duck tail spoiler..
I also don't see any similarities between them in the rear either..
As far as I'm concerned.. The 2015 is completely all Mustang from the ground up, but I will agree with you that Ford took much of it's design cues from the Ford Evos concept which is most definitely undeniable without a doubt
