I presume (hope) that "rendering" was simply one person's view on what a future SVT might/should look like and not anything that Ford is actually contemplating. IMHO, it is way overwrought and cheesy. Previous SVTs were, while aggressive, also slightly understated (leaving room for owners to dial it up to full clownshow level if so desired) and refined. This is anything but that.

Cool

It is time for SVT to move away from understated to aggressive. SVT needs to bring out a Mustang that is bold and aggressive.

If my sentence makes very little sense, I assure you the problem is on the receiving end. While you're busy being an a$$wipe, you've altered the intent of my statement, and you're also wrong. My intent was to describe multiple sad photoshop hack jobS; not just a singular one. (Bonus - The three sentences you wrote to try and knock me down are ALL incorrect. )
The word "everything" is singular, even though it may refer to multiple sad photoshop hack jobS (plural). My sentence is fine as I wrote it.

Thanks for playing, though. Don't forget to collect your door prize on your way out.

Obviously a matter of taste, but I've generally found SVT products to strike a fine balance between aggressive and bold yet reflect a seriously conceived and engineered performance machine to dominate road and track rather than a flamboyant peacock to parade about in down the local boulevard.

At least offer a tasteful, thinking-man's base variant along without all the jewelry and gaudy frippery for those show boaters who MUST be seen.

The original two images are hideous. They look like they came out of a sleep-deprived, caffeine-soaked 16-year old kid's head who should have been doing his homework instead.

On the other, recently discussed note...
I'd like to see a refined monster. The late Ford GT, ZR1, GT-R, and Porshe GT-2 should be the bar.

The wow factor of the GT, all out American Front Engine RWD engineering of the ZR1, incredible yet tangible performance of the GT-R, and track focus of the GT-2....

It won't be a GT<SE<SVT Mustang like a Boss, Mach 1, Bullitt, or Cobra R... it should be the top of the line... and also priced accordingly.

I imagine crazy fast, sternly collected, and modernly sophisticated (no cutting corners).

To the OP... it shouldn't look like it was featured in Tokyo Drift.

Sounds more like Ford needs to make another range topping performance halo car, ala the late GT. It gets hard to stretch a car, interior especially, to both meet a $20K secretary's special price point and the special expectations of a $100K crown jewel. Ford's tried to some degree with the GT500 and while the result is good, good isn't good enough for the north side of $50K. To its credit though, the S550 does start from a much better base, but still.

Perhaps this would argue for a Lincoln halo car of actual substance - Lord knows they need one - perhaps based off a suitably uprated S550 platform.

A rwd Lincoln to compete with the cts and CTSV would be welcomed I'm sure. I would love to see SVT do a version again. Even if the cobra badging isn't on it. The big blower motor or the Boss motor blown would be sufficient. And to think the mustangs of the 60's could be ordered with any combination available. Cloth seat base GT body with a GT500 motor and big brakes. Damm Shelby and their stupid contracts.

and the EPA, I won't presume to know how many different combinations could be available if you could order a Mustang any way you wanted but Ford would have to certify each combination.

Also I don't think its so much a contract as a Shelby Mustang commands a higher premium at this time so its a no brainer.

Does the Cobra name carry that kind of pricing power? Would Cobra fans willingly pay 65 or 70,000 for a fully loaded Cobra?

It seems to me that part of the Cobra's charm (or so I've been told) is that the car is the superior value proposition. You get far more car for the money with a Cobra than you do with the Shelby.
