one of the coolest wheels Ive ever seen is the new Z28 wheel- after machining it is automotive jewelry second to none... then they paint it black and it looks like a hubcap

heres a pic of the chevelle wheel- I didnt realize they polished the skimcut area:

looking at the pics again, nevermind...quite a bit different looking, mostly because the lugs are oriented in/between spoke pairs, plus the spoke contours are a lot different... to me I guess all the flat-face wheels all kinda look the same- I know high offset helps scrub radius/ABS pull, but still, personally I miss the deepdish lip on wheels

After a second look I have never been a huge fan of yellow cars but that wheel color combo along with the stripes on that yellow looks very tasteful!

Those Chevelle wheels do look similar.

I've always thought these strips really lend themselves to the convertible body style since they don't go over the roof.

Just saw the 2015 in person today for the first time... Definitely don't like it.

Some stuff about it is nice but overall the exterior is just weird. The interior is awesome though, hopefully with something other than a chrome trim

I liked the interior too, felt the same about the exterior though, just not my cup of tea... theres some stuff on the 05-09 I wasnt crazy about too, didnt like the big quarter glass(SHR louvers to the rescue!) and from the front, the outer headlight corners seem turned downward a bit too much (liked the Fang mystery7 or Iacocca headlamp brows much better) and rear bumper was kinda large, backup lamps look like a afterthought... but still wound up with three of them, overall I like the lines, just not as much as the near perfect 1969...
the 15 just looks a tad too modern to me- not bad, but just not for me... getting too old I guess, but I still love the older lines of the early fastbacks...
the most modern/different things to me about the 15 are the trunklid contours, very narrowed hinge edge (camaro is only other car Ive really noticed this on, but maybe its typical these days)and the fender/hood Audi-like cutout seam... minor, not really noticable to 99% of folks probably, but just different for a mustang.
I still see model carryover lines that I feel the mustang doesnt deserve- the nose, and the little quarter crease in back that kinda extends the front crease- but as it fades from a smooth wheel arch into nothing, I really dont care for it on the mustang, explorer, or fusion...looks like a dent if you dont see the rest of the car in profile.

we all have our favorites, hopefully the 15 will become the dreamcar of the next generation...

at least the tri-bar grille finally died...fusion/edge/tri-bar grille- betcha a buck the styling director used to use disposable razors for inspiration glad that era is gone.

The lower area of the front lower bumper looks like an after-though. It looks like it was designed by three different teams that had different specs in mind. It's like they had it right till the blinker, and then they just started to "glue" odd pieces together. I don't know why or how this passed the final design approval, it just looks weird and cluttered and not at all like a finalized product

Agree that the interior is really nice though, you can always find things to improve but overall the interior gets an "A" IMO...

[QUOTE]

I've been saying about the Camaro for years... and in fact, I think I've read that they did just that... three teams. Front's not too bad, rear wasn't too bad until this year, but they must not have let the guys in the middle talk to the other teams. That door-to-hip thing kills the Camaro for me... and I see a bit of that in the '15 Mustang.

BUT... I'm withholding final judgment until I can study one in person.

Only thing I'm really 'on the fence' about is the blackout panel on the back of the GT. I know what its a reference to, but I wasn't sold on it for the outgoing car, and I'm not entirely sold in it now.

I was never on the fence, and last week I was ready to pull the trigger. But after options and color combos have come out, I'm on the fence and about to fall off to someone else.
From the idea of no spare tire with the PP, and having to pay extra for a spare for the base line is just Ford giving the working stiff a stiff middle finger.
Can't get Saddle interior with a red car? Really?? Well after seeing how the saddle interior is really not saddle, but a two tone, it is butt *** ugly. Why can't Ford just do an all saddle interior and not a two tone?
I'm actually looking at the 2014 Mustangs, and Honda Accord 2 door coupes. But hell, Honda is not much better. Want a manual trans? You can only have it in a red, black and one other color.
Screw it, time for a Smart Car! LOL!!

I can kinda understand the spare tire thing. Half the pop never uses them, and the other half are either to dumb or to afraid to try.

No one is including spare tires anymore. They'd rather offer you Roadside Assistance so you have to bring your car to the dealer to get serviced. Also, like mentioned above^ people are too retarded to know how to change a tire and they just don't want to. Plus, with the CAFE regs, losing 100 pounds in spare tire, jack and tools can help eek out every last drop of gas on the EPA cycle.

Not true. We just bought a Honda and it has a spare. I have heard it is a trend though.

Ok, fewer and fewer are, especially on "performance cars."

Definitely like the wheels on the yellow convertible, think I will try to get a set when they are out and put it on my 2014.

Yep, for several years now. Esp on cars with performance tires and or large calipers.

Having someone else change your flat is like hiring a person to change your underwear. I can't imagine waiting on the roadside for up to two hours for a damned flat tire, and then having to be towed to a tire shop and getting it done right then. A spare saves me time and lets me keep an appointment at least.
I guess I'm just showing my age..... But as soon as I saw the no spare available issue, the PP was off the option list for me.

When I purchased Cobra brakes for my '95, I waited to install them a few weeks until I could locate a Cobra spare tire. Granted, I have never needed it, but it is there if I do.
