I am pretty upset still that they don't offer the glass roof... that was my favorite thing about my '14 when I had that. My guess is because of the aerodynamics of the roof on the S550's. They aren't as flat as they used to be on previous generations.

I keep hoping that one of these days we'll find out that next year's Mustang will be offered with a third roof option, whether it's a fixed glass roof, T-Tops, or a Lincoln MKZ-style panoramic roof. I've been driving cars with a transparent roof of one type or another going back to my 1988 Mustang GT, and I don't want to give it up.

The older cars had a roof that was for the most part "flat". The '15-'16 have ridges formed into the metal running the length of the roof so it is fairly impossible to get a glass panel to work right.

Maybe they decided not to compete with vert sales. If you want sunshine you have to go big or stay inside

Mustang II's and the Fox Body Mustangs had a sunroof option.

LoL. I Still have my '78 WS6. It took Pontiac 6 months to build it because when they had the WS6 parts they didn't have the Hurst T-tops, just the little ones like in Smokey and the Bandit. Anyway they kept trying to cancel the order but my dealer always convinced them to wait. Eventually they had parts for both options at the same time and built the **** thing. They did still have to cancel the WS7 option (rear disks) for the model year because those parts never materialized.
