92 lx mustang won't start

92 lx mustang won't start

Ok I have a 92 ford mustang the motor is a 89 but won't run I put a new distributer on and tried a New ignition coil but still won't run but if I take the spout connector out it will run timing has been set with a timing light and I still can't figure it out when spout connector is in it gets no fire when you take it out you get fire. Can some one please help I would love to drive the car again.

It's a plug off of the distributor that plyou pull to set timing

Sounds like the connector is shorting something to ground resulting in no spark.

OK quick question my car is running with the plug in now but still haven't figured any thing out I'm wondering if the eec relay is going bad would that stop the computer from telling the coil to spark I hope this is it cause it's nod a bad fix

If it's running what exactly are you trying to figure out? I would make sure you don't have anything grounding out in the ignition system to include the coil, plug wires and the ground wire from the distributor. If it's a particularly well used distributor you might just need to replace it to prevent the problem from recurring.
