OK, Ford. It's mid September. Where are the reviews?

Car & Driver just announced via Facebook that they will be releasing their road test of the 2015 Mustang online tomorrow (Wednesday 9-17). Looking forward to seeing what they think.

I own an Ecoboost 2013 Fusion and can say the MPG was not what was quoted on the sticker for almost the entire first year . Now that I have about 20k miles I can say my average around town is almost 25 MPG and highway can be as high as 37MPG. So it is definitely more fuel efficient then the V6 but I'm unsure as to why it takes so long to get to that point. Why doesn't it do as well right from the beginning?? I understand engines need to "break in" but almost 20k miles??

This stung:
Motortrend:
So why isn't the new ponycar faster than the old one, or handle as well given its horsepower and torque bump and new suspension? One word: weight. The new Mustang GT weighs in at 3814 pounds, a 196-pound increase over the last similarly equipped Mustang GT we tested. While that extra weight is unnoticeable on the street, it does rear its ugly head during limit handling and performance driving.

akirby (on BON) pointed out how opinions can vary even within the same magazine . . .
This is why you shouldn't put too much stock in what a reviewer says about a specific vehicle:
Same car. Same track. Completely different opinions.
What was a revelation on the street disappoints on the track. The Mustang GT is soft and wallows. OK, good front-to-rear balance, I can convince the tail to wag and impressed how well the brakes held up, that’s been a Mustang weakness in the past, but in this group, I feel like I’m driving mom’s Taurus. - Robin Warner, Road Test Editor - Road and Track
But it's on the road that it comes alive, the rear suspension gripping when you need it to but always just a throttle adjustment away from a micrometer precise rotation, the motion of the body so well controlled despite the weight, the trustworthy feedback from all four corners. This is the best mustang ever, the best ponycar ever, a mutant with DNA from the Fox 5.0 and the BMW e46 in seemingly equal measure. - Jack Baruth Contributing Editor Road and Track

So at best the new car is as fast as the outgoing car and at best the handling is the same despite having IRS. But it costs more.
There's no way the ecoboost is a better choice than the V6.

You're reading different reviews than I am. Most think the 2015 handles significantly better than the outgoing model.

Yeah the EcoBoost weighs roughly ~196lbs less than the GT.
Honestly, it's what I was expecting as far as interior quality and driving quality but I don't understand how it's actually slower! So basically, the bump in power is purely to offset the increase in weight.
So the new mustang is better than the outgoing one, as it should be, but it is NOT mind boggling better. Makes sense. I think that's normal. I'm glad they at least had negative things to say and weren't over the top nice.

Instrumented test on GT...what a pig! I guess I expected it to be faster! 196 pounds heavier than the 2014
