NYT teases "future Mustang"

I would crap myself if the 2014 Mustang looked like the GR1. I've lusted for that for some time now and it would really make the Camaro look like a dinosaur. Nice fastback profile, sleek and lean, with a real sports car vibe; just add some nice Mustang styling cues, keep the 400+ 5.0, and keep the price point around what it is now, or less (yeah right, I know), and we'd be good to go. My only concern would be outward visibility, but I'd hope that could be rectified while preserving the design.

I am all for the next Mustang going in the direction of something evolved and exotic looking like a GR1... You can only milk the full retro look only so long...

I would like to see it at least retain the shark-nose front fascia, side c-scoops and vertical tri-bar tail lights, along with appropriate badging of course. I will say I don't really like the execution of the front fascia of that orange concept Marz posted.
