My V6's custom exhaust

This is my custom axleback setup. I created a bit of drone with the system which I am working on correcting now. Let me know what you guys think!

Agreed sounds really deep and mean! Did you remove the suitcase too? If so, I'd have two more bullet muffs welded in that mid muffler setup. Should take care of the drone and really smooth out the tone.

I did not remove the center resonator! This is just an axleback. I didn't want to go cutting up to much of my exhaust before I knew exactly how the car would respond to such mods. I am currently working on a interesting idea which is basically a form of mechanical noise cancelation that shouldn't effect the exhaust flow. This should hopefully remove most of my drone without effect the exterior note to much.

You should wait for Solo to develop a kit then lol. Their J-pipe design sounds like just what you're looking for...

That's actually exactly what I am creating! I did not know a company was actually working on a kit!

They've been doing the J-pipes for years now. Another user, JoeMidnight, and I have helped them develop their 11-14 kits, which will be on the market soon (they do have 11-14 GT single tip kits out now), but I'm sure they're working on 2015 kits too.

Yup! They have dual tip and quad tip kits for the 11-14 V6 mustangs that sound amazing. I can't go anywhere without being stopped and complimented on the looks and sound of this exhaust. It's pretty cool .I have the quads (4" Tips) setup on mine right now. I'm still waiting for a nice(R) day to do a video. weathers been wet and sloppy in these parts.

Shows you how new I am to making/buying custom exhausts... I really don't understand why others don't incorporate the J pipes into their exhausts as the number one complaint for louder exhausts is drone. (from what I have seen) Seems like it would be a fairly cheap part to incorporate.

I would love to have quad tips! Unfortunately though that would require me to cut my rear bumper as the valence is incorporated into the bumper cover on base models... Maybe down the road though!
