IIRC ! Was not the debut of the SN-95 platform released on April, 17 1994 as the 30th anniversary model ? If so, then this would be considered as a MY1995 model.. So my question is this, did the SN-95 platform debut on April, 17th 2003 as a MY1994 model or did it debut on calander year 1994 ? My guess is Ford debuted the SN-95 in calander year 1994 on April 17th and not during the spring/fall of 1993 as a MY1994 model.. Therefore I'm going to assume the new platform design won't take place until April 17th of 2014 as a MY2015 marking the 50th anniversary of the original Mustang..

Edited - just read the link in TopNotch's post (More from Mays). Kinda backs up my last comment
To wit: “The muscle car could only happen in the U.S. because we’re the only ones crazy enough to stuff a V8 into the smallest possible car and scare the hell out of mothers everywhere.” Although it is likely that as the 2014 50th-anniversary Mustang takes shape it will probably be something that isn’t like the first—a car based on the Ford Falcon, a small car that got performance stuffing—but something that has an American context but global sophistication.

Being as the original Mustang was launched on April 17th of 1964, during the 65 model year.. I'm assuming he means calander year 2014 for the all new 50th anniversary redesign
