The 15" Brembo brakes have to generate even more dust since the pads are larger. Shiny wheels would no longer be shiny before you even get to 1/2 tank. Skinny spoke dark wheels are a good way of hiding brake dust.
I would agree normally except that my new chrome ss wheels are showing very little dust outside of the wheel. Not to mention the ample room now to get my wheel woolies in to clean the drum. The new 15 pp black wheels are just not attractive or practical imo

So what are people saying about the manual shifter on the '15? My '14 is the first time I've regretted not buying an auto.

I think the clutch springs on the m.t. models are very stiff, at least for my 65 yr. old legs. I am so glad I bought an automatic.

I do have a confession to make.
I said way back before the '15's were out and a little after they were out and about, that I don't like the car at all. Well,...that has changed. I was re-reading Darren's thoughts on the car. I read a lot on the mustang 6g.com website.
I do agree with most about the exterior styling,...not crazy about it, but nothing some Roush appearance parts can't fix and make the car look 100% better. The interior I like a lot. I think I liked the interior before I liked the exterior of the '15 model. I don't mind the wheels much, although as Darren as stated, they would be a detailer's nightmare. I'd be spending a lot of time on them if I had that car. LOL

I was of the same opinion, Tony.....dead set against the S550. But back at the end of last year I spotted a CO GT PP on a dealer floor, and my reflexive reaction was "wow". I've since grown to appreciate the new design, and I was knocked on my patootie by a CO GT 'vert a couple of weeks ago. And of course the GT350 is the only coupe I'd be willing to give up my convertible for.

I think my initial reluctance was due to the familiarity and love for the 05-14 retro style. I understand now that the S550 is not an S197. They're two different cars that share a very common history.

I'm not ashamed to say I was wrong either.

Hey Darren,

This is my prediction. As the market keeps getting saturated with S550 and so forth, the S197 (Especially yours) is going to become that much more of eye candy where heads will continue to turn even more so when your car pulls down the road

The Ford Mustang is the one body design is the only car that truly is ageless.

I still like my buddies 91 Foxbody GT

I agree Tom. That CO is my choice of color for the '15. Followed by that Triple Yellow. So awesome.
