from the back only. I think the back looks mean, retro, and like an older model fastback. I really like the look, but think from the side and front, it looks like a Scion or Hyundai or Fusion. Maybe it will grow on me....

To each his own, but I personally think the S550 has so much going for it. The stance is the best stance Ford has put on a factory Mustang IMO. That alone makes it look meaner right out of the gate than the S197, which I also still own one of.

I got to drive a new GT the other day and liked it. I was at a dealership with my sister while she was buying a new Escape. We had to go to the bank and needed a car (both her trade-in and new car were being prepped) so I said how about that five-oh sitting there. He put plates on it and said don't do any burn outs...Yea right. We went to the bank and some how the rear tires broke loose a couple of time....hate it when that happens Anyway I like the way it felt and drove but seemed smaller inside from my 2014 CS. I also like the Recaro seats kind of wrapped around you.

As for the inside being smaller ? Your right, it is smaller compared with the 2014.. It has more of that intimate/sporty feel inside..

That's due from the 45 degree angle in the design, as it has too much of a slope to it.. If Ford on the other hand designed the greenhouse which had a more gradual slope similar to the 65-73 fastback, there would be more rear headroom !

I want to like it but it's just not there yet for me. After lunch yesterday a buddy and I hit a Ford dealer on the way home and took a look at one on their lot. I'm not digging anything but the rear. Heh heh.
Anyway I haven't sat in one yet so I could be totally off base but I just don't get all the interior love that I'm reading about. It looks ok but not light years beyond my 2014.
I need to see a vert up close and personal.

Dave ! The rear is also what I really like the most as well.. As it does indeed remind you of the 1st generation 65-70 fastback models without a doubt

No matter how many times I see it. No matter what angle I see it at. It just looks okay but that rear end is freaking horrid. It's just a sports car now and the muscle allure is gone. Thank goodness I have my 2011
