By all means, make sure you can put a bunch of heavy luxury crap in a track car with a 500hp, 8200rpm redline, flat crank V8 so you can drive to tennis and golf at 1500 rpm in your investment..

You want a bunch of butt coddling, go load up a GT. This kind of thinking is why we get half measures and absurd prices, that's why an M3 can cost over $75k now..

Buy the yet to be unveiled R model if you want a stripped down track car you say... I say serve up a real GT350, it should be a GT on steroids, or let ME pick engine, suspension and tire options from the whole range..

You can have your 2dr Lincoln with air conditioned seats an automatic and a race engine that never gets used, and you can pay out your a$$ for it, like so many Z06 owners idling around a dry sump 7liter... Not complaining it's your right.. I'll take a base coupe, in white, with the go fast parts and regular old ford badges.

It's what I've done with my 2012 and it's what I'll do with the next one if Ford and their dealerships can't make it happen.

I would think that, in 2014, a decent radio and leather isn't too much to ask. Do you really think that and heated mirrors/seats are pushing the car into a new financial category? You can get that stuff in virtually any car now. God forbid if someone wanted a little comfort for their ~$55k.

Sorry people can't have it 'you're way'

It's a car, not a **** hamburger

I'm sure it'll have packages for people who want, or don't want them.
I don't get all the fuss.

I can understand the argument for both sides. I'm not one to need all those features though. Give me a comfortable seat to plant myself in (heated or not lol) and I'm happy listening to that sweet sweet exhaust note all day long.

I hate my leather Recaros. I wanted the 8" screen, though navigation is unnecessary for me. I wanted cloth or really Alcantara Recaros, with Premium level content, and my Glass Roof. I'll add the seat covers later...

I would venture to guess the intersection people on here that will own one of these, and those that will take it to the track, is precisely ZERO.

But by all means, give prospective buyers a hard time because they expect the same amenities as the cars Ford CLAIMS, they benchmarked it against, and at 60k, it **** well better have.

Then you would REALLY hate the z28 $75k no AC, leather, speakers ...

I guess I'm fine with options, so long as all of the performance bits are available WITHOUT selecting any frills. These cars may not make it to a track but I'm sure there are people (myself included) that would road race this car at a track. Even still... I just don't want the car to have all that base, or worse... Make that package mandatory with some of the performance upgrades. I hate that

These cars will make it to the track. There were 6 or 7 Mustangs at my last road course events. It was awesome to see as many Mustangs as BMWs for a change. Weekend track excursions is why I got my car. And like you I got it stripped. Track Pack and Recaros were the only 2 options I ordered. I specifically had to ask the dealer to order one without SYNC.

This car is supposed to measure up against sizable competition, and it will be a gem. Make all the extra stuff optional. The one thing that must be standard is ability to go fast, especially in corners, and stop like the Roadrunner.

No, for those keeping track, that was ranting. Complaining would be simply saying "It really grinds my gears that some people pollute the forums and interject themselves into discussions about cars with nothing more to add than a weak attempt at a cheap shot".

Note the subtle difference and feel free to bring discussion regarding the GT350, GT3, M3, Z28, GT (or any other relevant commentary to the post topic) with you on your next visit.

👍

^^^^ Not sure that this is "relevant commentary" and appears to be another complaint, however, "subtle." As such, the post could be deemed as polluting the forum.

Edit: BTW, Courtesy of Merriam-Webster:

"Rant- verb \ˈrant\: to talk loudly and in a way that shows anger : to complain in a way that is unreasonable."

You're welcome

Merriam Webster excerpt courtesy the yinzer educational network... Since we're doing the sarcastic internet search pissing match thing, I like the Urban Dictionary definition of rant. "To speak agressivly about somthing. or to take your own tangent about a subject and talk for a long time in a passionate manner" Still waiting for relevant GT350 commentary to return...

And to answer your extra clever edit, yes, all this is pollution, childish, wasteful, pointless pollution of the forum.. So, I'm done.
