Go Big...Launching the 2015
What would you like to see...
Here's some of what I'd like:

-Have 1,965 Special Anniversary cars in Red (Race Red but use Rangoon name), White (Oxford White but use Wimbledon) and a special Blue (New Guard(sman)).
These cars get full customer treatment. (They will pay $20K+ over MSRP). Factory tour and pick up. Leather/Suede Jacket/Car Cover/Numbered Plaque/Mustang of America one year membership/Track experience.
ALSO have Shinola create a special watch with Serial Number and # out of 1,965.
-50 days until launch...50 Days Of Mustang. Each day cover the history of a model year...finishing with 2015 rollout.
-50 Car Giveaway...49 if you give me the first one.
-Tease at the Detroit Show but no concept....production version in NY on April 17th (Thursday, the second Press Day)...Using the second day would just feed the press and make this the #1 premiere at the show.
-Car should be ready to order on Press Day...have a few cars shipped to dealers available to buy/bid on April 17.
-First Production Car on Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach 2014
-Don't give Saleen, Steeda, Roush or Shelby a car until 2016MY. (This is Fords baby)
-European launch should coincide with US.
-Show convertible but launch it in July
-Books, Books, Books...Donald Farrs book will be out and John Clor should have the book ready on April 17.
-Speed TV Special...try major networks too (NBC,CBS,ABC)
-24 hour TV commercial blitz the day before..."Expect More Of the Unexpected"
-Youtube videos of J Mays design team... (Exterior, Interior, Chassis, etc). Every Marketeer within Ford. Alan Mulally...Bill Ford...
-Facebook/Twitter extras only seen by Likes/Followers
-Nürburgring times.
-Think movies ...even though these will come out at the came time as the car

I'm thinking Fast Seven cameo...Friday, July 11 or James Bond in November, 2014

With regards the movies...............I can't see it happening, not unless those movies start shooting after April '14. Need for Speed is filming now (release March '14 IIRC) and there are images of that wide-body Stang all over the internet.......OK, it's only a '14MY, but Ford will not want any leaks from an S550 being seen on the streets.
I do like your thinking around the shows though. They need to build the excitement at the Detroit Show, but I agree with not showing a concept. Perhaps a tease or two. Then leave the big reveal for the 17th.
