Ford Announces Mustang Pricing in Australia

Our Mustang friends in Australia are probably making some early Christmas plans now that Ford has announced pricing for the new sixth-gen model, which goes on sale there this December.

Why would they go all the way to Australia to make an announcement about how much a Mustang costs? We already know that...

*reads article...*

OH! Oh. Well, yeah, that makes more sense.

Dumb question...are the Australian and British models RHD? The pic shown is LHD, but that could just be a generic photo.

Yes, they are. Ford is making the Mustang an actual 'global car', so that includes RHD setups. Japan, England, Australia, and others will get the RHD version of Mustang. Further, they will be sold by Ford dealers in those countries, and not via imports and conversions like has been done in the past.

Top Gear has even had their grubby mitts on it:

It also appears that the RHD models will only get the Ecoboost 4, or the 5.0 V8, no V6 is to be had there.

So... there ya go.

Thanks. Guess I won't be moving to Oz anytime soon. I can't walk and chew gum at the same time, so it's highly doubtful I'd be able to shift with my left hand.

I like how the comments turned into standard vs auto jabs. LOL!

It's really easy to get the hang of. However, for the first few days you may find that occasionally you pull up to a stop sign and automatically shift forward and close to your knee and try starting out in 5th.

If NASCAR ran in Australia, would the oval tracks run clockwise? Sorry, just wondering aloud with way too much time on my hands.

The water in the toilet down under spins in the opposite direction when you flush it, so I assume NASCAR would too.
