Foolish?
Got my 2011 in June 2010, but this time around, i'll be ordering mine in Feb.2015 for an early Spring delivery.
Looks like they'll be hitting dealer lots late fall, so i don't see the point getting the car and parking it for the winter.
Might be in the market for a GT350 as well, so we'll see what comes up on April 17th at the 50th anniversary.

Bought first model year in 05,10,13 and had very few if any problems, recalls etc. I think that not buying the first year of a new model is somewhat of a myth . Often the first model year has more content than the following model years , but if you want higher horsepower, more gears to row ,they usually follow later. But it is nice to have a newly released model for the temporary exclusivity it provides .I remember that especially in 05.
Open the hood, trunk & all doors. If you see any small colored stickers or white / silver paint / crayon marks, that is a typical marking indicating that at some point, there was a problem with a component requiring them to be 100% inspected or sorted. Different car companies have different marking schemes.
However, Many crayon marks are for assemblers to verify that all components of sub assys are complete. For example, that all 3 screws are in place instead of just two.

Never regretted buying the 2005 Mustang GT in that first year. No recalls on mine, and ZERO issues. 75,000 miles on the car now, with 7 track day events, and the car is still amazingly tight and trouble-free. Easily the most reliable car I ever bought in my life.
The exclusivity was worth it, IMO. Yes, I did pay MSRP - $27,455. Other local dealers had $2000 markups. But the first couple years, that car got a ton of stares and countless compliments. The first week with the car I was driving somewhere with my daughter in the passenger seat, and she said, "Dad, everyone's staring when we drive by them. I feel like a celebrity."

I remember the first time I saw a 2005 Mustang. I was driving by a hotel parking lot and saw a black Mustang that looked like a race car and just stood out from all the rest of the mundane cars. I liked the 2005 Mustang so much that I ordered a 2007 black GT.

I'm heading on over too my local Ford dealership tomorrow too see what's the MSRP on it..I'll report back too you guys..
I didn't think the 2015 models were out yet. Being that you saw a 2015 model at a hotel parking lot, you didn't get pictures. Shame , Shame! Lol! How long ago did you see the 2015 model at the hotel because I didn't even know they hit production.
