It Came... I Saw.... And actually changed my mind about it

Pretty wicked. But I struggle with the phat flare over the rear wheels. Granted the doors feed into them pretty well. And Roush using fake scoops blends it even better.
But then again I hate the Camaro doors and can't own them.
And all the lines are so busy - over the top edgy. So is this the reincarnation of the new edge??
Is that the Design teams method of progression?

I stopped this afternoon to see the Competition Orange in person (base GT manual)... and me likey. Not quite as 'in your face' as I thought It would be. Which is good. Also took it out for a ride. Clutch was nice, seemed easier to shift. Shorter throw is an improvement over my '12. I can't think of anything that struck me as 'bad', other than the cheapie hard plastic parts that can be made to go away if you're willing to spend the money. No more problem seeing out of it than anything else being made today. The hips look good in the mirror. And the view of the hood from inside is beautiful. And in case anybody's wondering, you can go at least two miles beyond '0 miles to empty'.

The dimples are fine... as long as they don't drill the holes for the plate. They did that on my 2005 I was purchasing 10 years ago. I made them fill the holes and respray the bumper. From that time on, I tell them: Holes in the bumper, I don't buy!

Well. I finally got to see the S550. Took a ride to a local dealer today. Being that it's Sunday they were closed, but they had four on the lot...2 GT's, 2 four-bangers.
After reading so many comments that it looks better in person than in pics, I wanted to be wow'd. The four that I saw outside just didn't push my buttons.
Both GT's were Ruby Red with sticks, and frankly I felt that the color falls flat on the '15, unlike the S197 which IMO is outstanding. One of the GT's had the PP, but even the black wheels didn't impress me against the Ruby Red. The two EB's were white and silver with automatics, and of the colors there, silver seemed to be the nicest.
Naturally I couldn't sit in them, but the interiors are very impressive looking. I particularly like the manual shifter and boot and the console. Ford did good on the interior design.
However...and this is a BIG however.... sitting on the showroom floor was a Competition Orange GT with the Performance Pack. That's all I could tell, but holy crap...that one really got my attention. I need to see one up close and personal, but CO seems to be the color on an S550 coupe. I'm not a fan of all black wheels, but I'm making an exception. I don't think any other tire/wheel combo would look as bad-a$$ on a Competition Orange Mustang as a set of black 20's.
To be fair, my preference is a convertible, and the pics I've seen so far seem to do justice to the new design. I'll know better in the spring.
But my oh my, that CO PP GT......
