Yes, from the time he released his first renders he made clear that they were based on CAD files.
And then a lot of folks doubted and Car and Driver and dozens of online artists jumped in to "correct" and "enhance" and generally get further away and less accurate in the process.
Credit where it's due.

Anyway... elegant is definitely a good word to describe it. The aggressiveness will probably show in the upper trims like the GT and SVT variant.

Im thinking this a base model.
It seems the dimensions are skewed a bit...making it seem shorter
and fatter than it really is.
Im seeing some huge potential here.
I hope the guys at SVT are hard at work.

The bright side to all of this....it looks pretty aggressive.
There is a lot of direction this can go.
I can't wait to see what SVT has up its sleeve.
Great job FORD, can't wait to see this up close and drive it.

I love it, and those LEDs based on the '65/'05 headlamp gills are superb!
But I'm actually gutted it's been leaked. I soooooooooo wanted it see it in all its glory, not from a photo of a photo.
Still, less than 2 days before we do.
Ford must be gutted though

I agree it looks a little tame. Lets hope its a V6. but they NAILED the fastback side profile! I'm impressed! I wonder what the rear seat head room will be like :/
not too excited about the center stack. Thats a LOT of buttons to go along with a nav screen.

It's nice. But eh, at least from those crappy pics I'm not all excited about it. Maybe looks better in person, or other models? DEFINITELY looks like it has a whole dump load of modding potential though!
One thing is for sure, so far, I'm not at all regretting my 2013 stang I was scared I might lol. Maybe wait until we get more info on the engines or better pics/sound

I'm so surprised it took this long!!
There are elements here I love, elements that I don't care for... but honestly, that's the case for me with every bodystyle since 1970.
Looking forward to seeing these babies on the road!!!

Looks much better than I expected if it's real. I can't imagine why there is no 5.0 badge on the side though?
Things I like:
-No spoiler
-The rear end seems a lot smaller and it looks like it slopes upwards like a Jaguar F-Type
-Rear diffuser looks cool in a European way
-Still looks like a fastback style Mustang
-Still looks like it actually has some hips like a muscle car should
Things I don't like
-Pony emblem in the grille makes it look like a V6 (I'm assuming this is a GT, not a V6)
-I don't like the headlight design, looks too generic
-Interior/steering wheel look kind of busy or messy

that is one aggressive front end, can only imagine what the SVT version will look like. except for the steering wheel, liking the interior a lot. Still don't know what to make about that rear, though.

I wish the headlights weren't as close to the fusion/taurus. They could have made that lower corner more "cat like" and less angular (like many of the renderings) and set it apart more.
