AutoWeek Cover.....and article!

I couldn't disagree more lol. I guess this shows how tough of a job this was for Ford to make a new Mustang. I think it is a radical change, perhaps more when we see it in person because it looks much smaller. I prefer the muscle car look of the previous generation while this new one seems to resemble a true sports car like a two seater. I have a feeling the backseat of this thing is going to be Porsche 911 small.
Its just not what I would of expected from so much hype and global attention leading up to the next generation mustang. I'm just not seeing any real exterior design originality and for all the talk about it , huge creativity design let down in my opinion. There were and are beautiful renditions of the 2015 mustang concepts out there and the best design is a refresh 2014 with different headlights. Oh well, there is always the next generation stang. Lol

And I also think the tweeter on the A-pillar looks good, if not completely the same as the F-150's with a black grille versus a silver grille. It's about time they moved the tweeters out of the doors!

Can't believe we tainted this thread with talk of Camaros. I just got out of the store and there's one near me in the boonies.
Such a censored looking car. Let's pray it lays dormant another 10 years.
-end of rant

Great looking interior. I am really interested in the interior fit & finish as well as the quality of materials.. Last week at the LA auto show I sat in several cars with really nice interiors. While I don't expect mustang to Audi level inside, I would like some improvement. Interiors in general are improving as fast as hp is. I was amazed by the Kia 900, it's a freakin' Kia. Clearly they have raised the bar, I hope to see some significant
improvent in the new mustang.
If I'm paying 40-70k for a car, I would like a nice place to sit.

But on Page ........8 I think of this thread is a much better picture and the interior looks a LOT better.

The Design
Its look says entirely new, but its soul is entirely Mustang.
The Cockpit
Taking inspiration from a cockpit, we struck a balance between analog dials and digital feedback. The shifter is optimally placed. And the steering wheel feels just right in your hands, for a dynamic driving experience.
Performance
There’s a 3.7-liter V6. And the available 5.0-liter V8 will benefit from increased power this year. But the real news is how we’ve paired Mustang performance with the EcoBoost® engine.
Available 2.3-liter EcoBoost
The EcoBoost delivers efficiency with real power to the Mustang powertrain lineup. A high-capacity direct injection system precisely controls fuel delivery, while a new twin-scroll low-inertia turbocharger means incredibly fast time-to-torque.
Exhilarating driving dynamics
The thrill you get behind the wheel of a Mustang is a given. But now you can thank a fully independent rear suspension for that rush. This design change not only improves body roll, but also isolates road imperfections for a better feel.

The Tech
This is not technology for technology’s sake. Every feature Mustang offers enhances your driving experience – whether it’s the advanced sensors that detect cars in your blind spots or the advanced communications system.
Intelligent Access with push-button start
As long as you have the key on you, you can unlock the door and start the car without ever having to reach into your pocket.
Available SYNC® with MyFord Touch®
This is the first time this advanced in-car communications system has been available in a Mustang – adding a center touch screen along with voice-activated control.27
Available BLIS® with cross-traffic alert
The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) uses two discreetly placed rear radar sensors to warn you of cars approaching on either side. And cross-traffic alert warns you of those you can’t see when you’re backing out of a parking space. Driver assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s judgment.

The Convertible
The Mustang convertible* is the even more carefree cousin of the fastback. While it shares the same genes, it was purposefully designed from top to bottom to be a convertible. And speaking of tops, the all-new Mustang convertible goes topless in approximately half the time of the current model. *Available late 2014."

I thought about waiting for the 2015, but am glad I did not. I'd have had to miss over a year and a half of fun. I like the 2015 (well, some of it), but I have no regrets about having bought my 2014.
