American Muscle Smoked Tint Kit
Has anyone here installed the smoked tint kit from american muscle to their S550? Either the entire kit or any pieces? I started the install of the entire kit this weekend and so far it looks great! I have not installed the headlights, tail lights or fog lights yet. Am wondering if anyone here has installed the headlight and tail light tint yet and if they have had any issues with it as far as getting pulled over/ticketed. I really want to install the headlight/tail light tint but am somewhat concerned about the legality/getting pulled over. If it helps, I am in Virginia.

Your chances are 50/50. Technically it is illegal to have the tint installed when the lights are on so you take your chances. Personally I don't set myself up for failure by keeping it legal. Anything that makes you stick out will up your chances of getting ticketed around here! We already have a hot car and the cops know it so I would rather stay low! I value the privilegeof being allowed to drive and can't afford to loose it over some tint (or speeding...LOL)!

Thanks guys. Am still undecided on it, and haven't done it yet on the rest. Will likely wait till I gets warm again to install any more, but am iffy about the headlights still, but will probably give the tail lights a try. If anyone has any new stories or experiences with haven for the kit on, please feel free to share!

However, look into this kit:

Not only is it significantly less expensive than other vendors, the film is thinner and much easier to apply. I've had amber tint from the vendor you mentioned (twice) and it was impossible to get it to conform to the curves, leaving many noticeable and unacceptable wrinkles and bubbles. I still have a few minor wrinkles on the fog lamps with the Anchor kit, but they're far less severe.
