Hello all, new to forum and just purchased a brand new 2016 GT Premium convertible with auto. My question pertains to the 0-60 timer that's built into the track apps. So I have made a few 0-60 runs and they all seem to be about 5.1 - 5.3 seconds! First, is this timer an accurate way of determining the times or more of a control to test diff mods should that be what one wants to do? Secondly, C&D Motor Trend etc all tested this in auto with a convt and it was pulling 0-60 runs anywhere be 4.3 to 4.7 secs. Am I missing something here? Shouldn't it be around these numbers? Thats nearly .5 secs off those times. I understand the diff variables that may affect the times but not a .5 sec. Thanks in advance for any input and help.

 

Does the engine develop full power prior to the first 1000 miles? I heard that the computer did;t allow full potential until the 1K mark. I might be wrong though/ It happens...just ask my wife
