2015 Photoshop/Rendering Thread
Quarter windows need to make a statement if the "Dorito" windows are going to be abandoned. They should impart a sporty, racy and personal look... Not something that looks so benign as most examples I have seen rendered. The only reason the Evos concept has such large quarter windows is because it has four gullwing doors putting the emphasis on it being a four door concept.
IMO the best quarter window shapes ever are these... It is also evident that the Evos concept was inspired by much of the Shelby GR-1 concept. I would love to see no quarter windows with the abbreviated Shelby GR-1 side window profile used.. However people will complain about the blind spot.. So it's likely gonna be styled quarter windows that complete the door window profile shape.

Another Quarter Window Shape for Your Consideration...
It's getting there... Suddenly I feel like I am Iacocca walking around the design proposal rolling a cigar in my mouth...
Something I do not expect to see on the next Mustang is chrome window trim... For me most of the Shelby GR-1 concept is perfection. Put the Evos front end on it, sculpt the body sides with the kinetic look and add a realistic rear fascia that complies with bumper standards and then I see a winner.
I am just as excited to speculate how the new interior will be formed... Hopefully a more dramatic interpretation of dual cockpit design with a bit of Focus-like interior influence. I can see a dramatic center stack being the focal point with MFT. I am also hoping complete LCD displays replace electro-mechanical gauges. That would afford so many configurations in appearance, themes and lighting options.

Is there any way you could do the picture in post #1644 with the original evos headlights. And just for kicks, make some amber tri lenses markers on the side of the headlights like on the 99-04 headlights?
I like the side window treatment on this one, Shawn.......a bit of Torino influence is a good thing in my book! If they could go pillar-less...........that would be awesome!

I'm still hoping for a more bluff front end though. The aero-look is just a bit too bland for me

Not that I really care but since the new stang will not be retro, or at least not as much as the current car. What are Chevy and dodge doing with there ponies? Do they have plans to modernize their cars as well?
Playing around with some lines... it's not a huge departure from the Evos themed designs we're seeing, just playing picasso with pieces and parts to make the lines fit a Mustang more...
I saw the picture, then read the note...at first I didn't believe that you were playing off the lines of the evos because it to me looks more retro than the evos lines but then I put it next to the pic from edmunds.com and I can clearly see the influence...the lines are sexy and I think they are very muscular but I don't know if they will be too retro for what ford is thinking? I love the drawing though!

Yeah there's really no telling what Ford actually has in store, I just wanted to take my own crack at an Evos based Mustang.
For reference, here's the original pic I'm working with.
That's superb. You've improved the rear 3/4 over the Evos by moving the shoulder line up.........a lot of Aston Martin influence there, and that's no bad thing. I'd still like to see a more bluff front end, but that's one of the best efforts to date. Any chance of taking it from a line drawing to a full rendering?
