A long and winding road, friend. Seems like TopNotch has got you all covered. As the camo gets thinner and the spies get better, keep your eyes out for more of my work here.

Looks very S197-ish.........but I guess that's to be expected. Certainly the latest renders seem to be losing the Dorito rear 3/4 window, so I'm kind of hoping this is the direction Ford are going in.

I'm looking forward to more of your work

Don't sell us all out short. Look at all of these renderings & the current model. They all look like a body kit put on the current model. We need some real change.

Look at the difference between the 70 & the 71 Mustang: big body change. The 74 Mustang was a significant change from the 73. 79 brought a huge change in the Mustang heritage. The longest running platform / body style that looked NOTHING like any of the Mustangs that came before it. Gone were many of the typical Mustang styling cues. The grills, the body lines, the side C-scoops, the headlight shape, the taillight shape... ALL NEW to the Mustang. And it was one of the most popular body styles ever.

Then came the SN95. Another complete re-design! Squinty headlights, some retro Mustang cues with the side C-scoops & interior concept. Another smashing success. New edge Mustangs followed with basically the same shape only made more masculine.

And then the 05 brought back one of the greatest retro Stangs to date. It was a radical design change from the new edge Mustangs & people were dying to get them. After this model, there were only some minor changes to the styling inside & out, similar to the slight change to the new edge Mustangs. Similar but changed enough to look fresh.

Is that we're really wanting, just a refresh like we've seen with the new edges & the current model? I want something NEW! It's the 50th anniversary coming up. We Mustang fanatics deserve something new, not just a refresh.

Make it smaller (see picture below). Make it more balanced. Make the interior all new & modern! We've had enough retro. Give us some more engine options. Make it so new & cool (like Ford has done a few times already) & see how the world lines up with money dripping out of their pockets to buy one... or two!

Too tall in the rear quarter flanks IMHO.

I totally agree that it's definitely time for one of the two to come back, as it's been way overdue, however I didn't care for the fastback models after 1970, as the 71-73 models were too flat and became too large..

IMHO the 67-68 fastback along with the 69-70 models were the best looking Mustangs of all time.. Just my $.02
The reason those full fastbacks worked is that from the side view it looked like they still had a trailing edge as on the first and current generation cars. The 71-73 look bulky because you could see the room extend to the tail in side profile, so unless the can find a modern way to kick up the fender line to hide the visual density, I hope they don't go full fastback. IMHO, the reason I never lusted after the previous generation of Mustangs is they looked too visually heavy over the rear wheels, which is a shame because in some ways they are still very smart, modern looking cars.

I'm betting the B puller is behind glass making the front window and fastback window appear as one sweeping pane.

Just like the 2nd gen Probe! One of my favorite design cues of the Probe: hidden pillars.

I don't think you'll be disappointed...........I think you'll get all your wishes, although the difference in size will not be as dramatic as between your S197 and the '65 pictured. In fact, I think it'll just make better use of the size n space it currently has.

Steve ! When I refer to full fastback, I'm referring to the 67-68 models that still had trailing edges on them while at the same time the greenhouse angle sloped completely back to the rear of the car giving it that more tapered appearance and that's what I'm hoping the upcoming 15MY will look like but I do not not want it looking anything like the 71-73 models as I hated the fact they did not include trailing edges and their greenhouse looked visual way too flat and the car itself became too large and bulky and as you said looked visually way too heavy as well..
