Interesting that things have not really advanced all that far. My stock 1988 Mustang GT topped out at 143 mph on Autobahn 81 in Germany when I was overseas in the early 1990's

These are just electronically limited speeds. I'm sure drag limited top speeds are quite a bit higher

I like how it increased from 113mph to 121hp.

I'll spell it out for those who didn't catch that.

113 miles per hour to 121 horsepower.

I saw that!

I recommend keeping your speed at 112...otherwise you will feel significant and very abrupt power loss. Lol

Out of curiosity, which news do you prefer? MSNBC/NBC who has weekly apologies for the lies and slander that their news people say all of the time?

It's electronically speed limited. That's not going to change much.

Change the drive shaft on a V6 and disable the speed limiter and it will break 160. I think you'll find that your stock 1988 GT couldn't even hit that speed, much less hit that speed with a V6 Mustang from 1988.

In the Q&A with the lead engineer today he stated that the top speed limitations are set for European considerations and also due to cooling considerations. 155 is pretty good for the GT, I wouldnt mind if it were higher of course, but that's only for d!ck measuring, if I ever am lucky enough to own one again I wouldn't go near that high. I do have fond memories of my old fox body GT rattling down the highway at hair raising speeds a time or two though..
