Actually, with a lack of "hips," it looks more like a devolution. I hope that side profile image isn't accurate in that regard. KEEP THE HIPS! If anything, make them more pronounced!

Well because there is shadow play you cant really tell if it has hips or not, i was actually playing with the render trying to figure out how to make the hips more pronounced by shading certain areas.

Which makes me think if there are hips, they're subtle and just a play on creases to give the appearance of hips, while the body line is basically straight.

Real, curvy hips are incorporated into the body line and aren't just visible with perfect lighting.

This car is definitely goin to have the performance aspect. I am however worried with how it will look. I'm sure that it doesn't look 100% like this, if so I am worried for it. This rendering looks like a dodge charger/ camaro rear end, with a bit of a g35 roof and from the side shot the first thing that comes to mind is it looks like a tiburon!

Lets hope ford makes us mustang enthusiasts happy.

Yes, this is exactly why I dislike this render. It looks too plain.

Definitely prefer the '14's to everything I've seen thus far. Still early though...

I am not worried about what the 2015 Mustang may look like. I know that once the SVT engineers get their hands on it they will turn it into a beautiful beast. The job they did on the 2014 GT500 is incredible. The GT 500 makes the Camaro ZL1 look just like a plain grocery getter.

Think I'm hozed.

Don't really need to trade in my '12, which I absolutely love with a suspension, with only 3/5 years worth of payments made but...this doesn't look as bad as I feared and am now willing to wager it'll only look better. Shed 400#, bump up the output and improve the rear end and I'm afraid I'll do something I don't really need to do.

Could there be a chance that it still has chrome trim around the windows and grille like the evos concept? Would make a difference looks wise.

It would make it look a little more upscale but I tend to doubt it. People don't seem to like chrome because it supposedly looks too "tacky". Personally I think it depends on entirely how it's used.

Im really seein it on those blue renders where it looks like a refresh. New bumpers, lights, everythin but frame and proportions look the same. Heck id even say it looks taller! I know Ford wont let us down but as for right now im still left with a sense of disappointment

Is it me or does this not look much different from the current S197? Except for a different rear qtr window and a revised front end it looks the same.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for evolution and not revolution but we keep hearing it's going to be more of departure from what we have but these CAD drawings / renders don't look different to me.

These two statements so close together just cracked me up. It's amazing how two people can see two completely different things. Nothing against either one.

I've seen people compare the new car to so many different vehicles. The current car, a Fusion, a Probe(??), an Oldsmobile Alero(??) and a host of other cars and even trucks which is hilarious to me. It makes me wonder what people are looking at.

I think it looks great, and I'm growing to appreciate it more every time I look at it. And that's a good sign. Can't wait to see the real thing. I think more people will appreciate it then.

I noticed that too.

I don't have the pics but to illustrate my point, could someone post side by side pics of each transition year?

'73 next to '74
'78 next to '79
'93 next to'94
'04 next to '05
'14 next to light blue side profile CAD render

I think you would see what I'm getting at. Each of these previous transitions is much more unique than what we are seeing.
