I think the rear looks much better than 10-14.

The Autoblog article said the trunk height is lower by 2.75" so they don't have to try and break up that huge back end. Following a 13 down the freeway last month I just couldn't believe how busy the back is. And the slanted tail lights made it worse. Lines going every which way. And the 10-12 was worse yet with the diaper.

The back of the 2015 Mustang features a decklid that's been lowered 2.75 inches, contributing to the fastback shape and giving the rear end a more planted appearance, while also allowing a lower opening for the rearranged trunk (it now accommodates two sets of golf clubs without folding the rear seats).

So the 15 rear is much improved. (although they didn't need to slant it forward so much. not sure what that's about.)

Right! Compared to some of the renderings it could have been a ton worse. I actually breathed a sigh of relief! lol

The PR tals about a reduction in roof height. Not good if you are tall like me. Concerned about roof height, or lack thereof, in the back seat.

Wheel options on the Ford site dictate pretty low profile tires. Not sur how that will work in the northern USA where potholes will make for a lot of bent rims.

The dashboard looks great.

I dunno... Gotta see in person... At first look online, I still think the 05-09s are the best looking mustangs in the 2000s.

I was pretty well sure they'd completely wreck the design... but I'm not hating this too much. What I DO notice is the wider hips that look too 'Camaroish'. Hopefully they've softened that transition area up enough that the light/shadows won't make the car look like it changes colors right there (as ALL the Camaro colors do).

Glad to see that giant black Euro license background gone.

I'm happy Ford made the gap between the tire to the fender less.

I noticed that too, especially on the vert. It looks VERY good.

i might have to eat my words from what i posted with all the concepts that we saw here on the forum....
the biggest thing i think that has caught my eye is the rear. looking directly at the back reminds me of the older 60's mustang with the shape and style. one thing that lacked in the previous mustangs. interior seems to be upgraded and has a nice appeal to it. my wife is impressed with the interior and has expressed she wouldnt mind driving one of these. although the front still has the "fusion-esque" front its not as bad as what i would think...still has the similar shape to the last mustang and a bit aggressive in stance. the fastback look is beyond what i was even envisioning...with more of a true fastback than the previous generation.
although i will be keeping the boss, there is a possibility that my wife might own this model one day...with some influence on what to get from me. if they trully are going to do a mach 1, then i might have to start saving now. will have to see in person before i make final judgement on anything. so far it looks promising.

I look at it and to mee it looks like a taurus coupe. I think the 2010 it changed a bit but still looked good. Now this 2015 it just screams euro style to me

Just make sure when you order this one that Ford understands exactly what color stripes you want.

I'm digging it so far. Wasn't crazy at first but the newer released pictures in the sticky thread look very good IMO.

I completely disagree. I love the clean look of 13-14, and I absolutely love the tail lights. At night if you're following a 13-14 it looks like you're following a space ship.

The 15 rear end is a major disappointment to me. The rest of the car is pretty good, even the front in my opinion. But the slanted, tail with those weird tail lights adds a major fugly factor to it.

But Ford couldn't please everyone. You and I have completely different tastes in this regards, and there really isn't a happy medium. I do want to wait til I see it in real life and from different angles before I can have my mind set.

I love my '13 and won't be trading any time soon. It's good to know, though, that if and when I do this is where the Mustang's future is.

Roof is lower but so is seated position so head room should not change. Back seats have always been for insurance purposes only. I removed them in my 05 so no loss there either. I love it... Count me in for a Shelby whatever 350/500 or cupcake "my little pony" edition.
