2015 Mustang floor mat quality

Not meaning to bash Ford, but the floor mats that came std. with my 2015 GT 5.0 Premium are not so great quality wise. The fabric is barely 7/32" deep.

I am glad I ordered a set of Lloyd Ulti-mat mats. The fabric is about 5/16" deep and much more comfortable on the feet that the factory. I guess Ford has to keep costs down somehow.

I agree, for a premium car like our 2015 GT, you would think a little nicer floor mat would not be a big deal for them to splurge on us a little. So I installed my weather techs, and put the stock floor mats on top of those (just for the summer). Still a beautiful bad *** car though.

Just got my embroidered GTCS summer Floormats from the automatstore.com. Thick, deep black and luxurious.

You cant beat a lloyd mat. The ford mats make great trunk liners. Lol

I have a set of aftermarket mats embroidered with a silver GT logo. I keep them in the trunk and use the factory mats for regular driving. The GT mats come out for shows.

I guess the quality has gone downhill then since my 2007 model. I have two sets and both are really decent IMO. I would never replace them. Can't comment on longevity with just 25k miles on the odometer but I like them very much. I agree that Lloyds makes wonderful mats though. I have owned them on other cars in the past. Not exactly cheap but worth the $$.
