2016 Mustang: these tweaks are getting out of hand
2016 Mustang: these tweaks are getting out of hand
How many of you guys had problem with water getting into your pony projector puddle lights? how does ford not realize this is creating more problems?
My car has over 30K miles on it and has been in some horrific rain storms, including one where the rain was coming down sideways. It has also been washed frequently. I've never had a problem with my pony projector lights - yet.
>>IF<< you take the turn signal in the dash out, THEN the hood mounted ones are cool.
But exceptin' that... eh.
I don't much like the 'scoop' being there on the regular hoods in the first place on the 15, to be honest, though, so... meh. Whatever they wanna do on those.

Most cars from the 60's and 70's had hood or fender top signals available as a dress up option, nothing rice about it just a through back to Mustang history.
I have a 2014 GT... and i think my 2011 v6 looked way better. Why? Because no faux shelby catfish mouth, no plastic trim on the deck lid and no plastic panels around the rear plate. Also the rear tail lights look cheap IMHO. But hey, thats just my opinion, those differences are less important than switching to a new 5.0 which is why i did it.

ask yourselves this.
How many of you did not like the S550 body style before it was release and how many of you like it now? we learn to adapt. I'm sure right now, I am agreeing that its a tad much. But, when you drive with it, it won't phase you anymore than a mustang that didn't have one from previous models.

I am going to be the first to chime in and say I like it. I love the Pony Lights on my 14. Some hate them. But I have yet to have someone see the Pony Lights in person and not love them. Especially non car people seeing them for the first time. As for the hood mounted turn signals. A good friend of mine has a 68. When he bought it the hood wiring harness was missing for the turn signals. I SO wish he would hook them up but he would rather spend the money on a after market hood. To each their own... But I like the throw back idea.

Holy baloney!!!! That orange Mustang really got my attention and I started looking at the 15's in a different light.
The GT350 sealed the deal. The S550 is indeed a good looking car IMO.
I think the car changes your mind when you drive one as well. It just feels better inside than my 2010, especially the driving position. The S197 is a Muscle car then S550 is a sports car!

Nope, I really tried to get on board and I can't. Car only looks good from the side. Can't stand the Fusion front, and I like the rear of my '14 better. Can't get used to slanted deck lid and those fugly tail lights. And particularly on the PP cars the lack of spoiler really makes the car look strange.

Destroy it with fireI didn't care for it when pics were first released. I then saw a couple of S550's on a dealer lot in various colors that I thought looked much better on a '14. I remained in the "against" camp.....until I spotted a CO GT PP.

I agree to all of this. I have been seeing A LOT of S550's on the road in a lot of different configurations. Some really catch my eye and I think to myself, NICE!
Some S550's in the same color (or not) with different configurations just doesn't do anything for me. At the end of the day, while approaching my S197 to go home, I think, yeah.... I made the right decision on ordering the S197 over the S550.
I'm sure the that by the time I'm ready to retired my S197 and trade it in, the S550 will be no more and the Mustang will be a completely refreshed vehicle resulting in this whole debate all over again.
Either way, its nice to see others enjoying the new Mustang.
